I have been patronizing the downtown and WA locations since they each opened. I love pizza, and like to spread my pizza money around- Athens, D'allesandros, Monza, Mellow - always looking to satisfy the NY pizza craving. The last couple of times I have tried the Ando WA location, the food has been OK - not good or great. With this in mind, around 9PM I phoned in a take out order to the WA location. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I gave them 20. When I showed up, the pizza had not been made yet. There was no one in the place, but they insisted they had been "busy". OK- I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Waited about 10 minutes and the pizza was ready. Something seemed different about the way it looked from how I remembered it in the past. It was a mess, and there seemed to be missing cheese. I was told by the guys behind the counter that they had put the toppings on first and then the cheese- "so it would cook faster"! Well, the pizza tasted horrible, and was undercooked. A truly disappointing meal, made more disappointing by the memories of what once had been. Andolini's used to be the best pizza in Charleston. After my most recent experience, I would say it is the worst!
