I am fairly new to James Island and have been interested in the weekly comments I have read concerning out town hall meetings. They come across as a circus, let's see what act is next. This is no way to run a meeting.
If the town pulls out of Charleston's control, can we afford to pick up the costs of running the town on our own? Or are we to pay by simply raising the taxes? How will the costs for services be provided for?
We must consider these issues before we jump for the frying pan in the fire. The town must go forward in a positive manner with the leadership worthy of such a challenge. Change is good, but not to confuse it as a vendetta against a single person. Term limits should also be considered in the needed changes.
