Re: “The gospel according to the Driver's License Manual

If you weren't driving the green Lexus, don't sweat it and don't take it personally!

This driver was coming or going to church as do many on Sunday, and his utter disregard for others is a prime example of the hypocrisy displayed by more than enough church goers.

Hypocrisy that is so prevalent on so many fronts in our culture it would seem that reading scripture is for most, little more than mental masturbation and yes rhetoric.

As for confrontation, we were literally cut off in the turn, my riding partner was within a couple if inches of being hit and his attitude was quite simply, "you're wasting my time white boy". His arrogance, his racism, his bad behavior, his hatred.

NOT OURS!

I didn't even cuss at the guy, I simply asked what he thought he was doing nearly running us over and he didn't give a damn!

He displayed the dangerous behavior, he nearly ran over two people minding their own business and by the way, we were going the posted speed limit of 20 mph which based on his driving, didn't seem an issue that not only was he recklessly endangering human life, he was breaking the law.

Furthermore, I have read scripture, was raised in a church going family and in over half a century on this planet the one thing I see religion doing over and over and over is giving safe haven for pricks to justify their pathetically bad behavior because, they're saved!

My question is this, who is going to save the rest of us from these "saved" nuts who use Jesus' blessing as justification for any and all bad behavior?

If they would just be honest, be the jerks that they are and not try and hide behind scripture, I could at least give them credit for being honest. They live in a quagmire of denial and obnoxious behavior and all the while trying to hide the stench of who they really are with evermore applications of religious perfume.

Unfortunately, the rest of us have to deal with the damage they leave behind. Need proof? Look at world history. It speaks volumes on the devastation and discord your wonderful scriptures teachings have left in their wake.

Re: “Mayor hits the panic button on 526

What happened to the democratic process?

This debacle was voted down and now Joe and his cronies and their hopes of even more return on their dollar are being threatened and as is evident, they'll do anything to keep THEIR dreams alive no matter the cost to the tax payers.

We said NO, and if Joe can't deal, then he needs to go as well as this 526 boondoggle.
