Re: “Blinders

Agree with Lisa's Comments. Also want to mention that the film is being co-sponsored and presented by Lowcountry Vegan Society. https://www.facebook.com/LowcountryVeganSo…

Re: “Critics are split on Spoleto's Little Match Girl

I hate feeling stupid. "The Little Match Girl" has ended up making me feel stupid because I simply didn't "get it". I have friends (well, at least one friend) who did like it although I attribute some of his liking it to the fact that he can speak & understand German. Everyone else I talked to was simply left out in the cold (the "stupid" cold) with me. I think if it had been about one hour 15 minutes shorter I would have liked it a lot more. It should NOT have been billed as opera. It was not an opera, at least not what I understand to be opera.

Re: “Citadel offers more details on ‘white pillowcase’ investigation

White people (in general) do not see racism where it exists because they don't suffer the consequences of racism. I congratulate the Citadel on taking this incident seriously.

Re: “Charleston releases strategy for next 50 years of rising sea levels

Zee, putting multiple words in capital letters does not make your response sound any more intelligent than it might otherwise sound. In fact, rampant capitalization has the opposite effect. I recommend against uncontrolled capitalization.

Re: “The case against Waffle House

I used to love Waffle House. Or at least I loved the idea that it was always open (including on Christmas). But then I learned about the suffering, abuse and murder of sentient beings in the name of so-called food. So I don't look at Waffle House very lovingly any more.

Re: “A jaw-dropping lesson in butchery at Blood on the River

Eating animals is not normal, it is not natural, it is not necessary. A new reality is taking form, one in which the fact that animals do NOT want to die will be acknowledged and respected. This event is disgusting and nauseating. Shame on all of you.
