Smokey Oak has brought something new and fresh to James Island. They have the best collard greens I have ever tried. I like that the barbecue isn't drenched in sauce but rather they serve it dry and give you the option of four BBQ sauces to add. Prices are very reasonable for both food and drinks. I went there last week and discovered they are now serving pizza. I recommend the spinach pizza, so good! Overall, I am very pleased and will be back.

The prices are excellent and a great local crowd. Heard they are starting live music soon which will be a great perk.

I have always had a great experience at Smoky Oak. Great food, great prices, great portions and great beer selection. The cuban sandwich is great and their fries are fresh cut. The portions are very generous and I always have leftovers. They seem to always have good live music on the weekends too.
