It seems to me, watching the first debate, that some candidates push their ideas and what is best for the people of the state, and some candidates push, well, themselves and how great they are. I think too this reflects in some of the comments below - not all, but you can probably tell which ones I mean.
Our next governor needs to be concerned with the citizens of South Carolina, not about his or her party and climbing the political ladder. I have met Sen. Vincent Sheheen several times now and this guy has class and the leadership we need to move this state forward. He has long been investing his time and senate role into making needed change for South Carolina. On top of that, he's just an all around great guy with a warm and engaging personality. When you talk to him, you know right away he is on the ball.
There is no one else I would rather see become the next Governor of SC than Vince Sheheen.
