We had a nice experience here for lunch. The cost of food has made it difficult for places like this to provide good food at a value. My wife had the lobster Po Boy and I had the grilled shrimp. The lobster was very lightly fried which is not an easy thing to do. Much easier, and most places do, batter heavy and fry the hell out of something. This was not the case. Really well prepared.
The shrimp was OK but a very small portion. The bread was at the end of it's freshness so really didn't eat much of it. The service was good to very good. As a rookie I didn't know to bring my parking ticket with to be validated so my server said "no problem, I'll get you a pass." Much appreciated.
As an old dog with lots of experience, it's obvious to me that this is a breakfast place and I can't wait to give it another try.

So glad CP has found these guys. In addition to the fresh food, the owners are just the sort of people you want to see succeed.
This is unjust and I've never even been to Scratch. Assuming good people have invested in our town and look for a fair return. Stop it CP, you are not helping anyone. Let's give these folks a chance and I'm happy to pay $5 for a really great taco. Hell, I pay $9.95 for a piece of fried flounder and two eggs at Page's and happy to do it!
Good to see these kinds of places opening in Mt P...get away from the fast food Mexican, or whatever it is.
Another fresh and local family business is in Park West at Los Compadres...good stuff
