Can't blame JOE on everything... there are plenty of restaurants that are able to stay in business south of Calhoun (LaHa, King Street Grille, Mellow Mushroom, Jim N Nicks). It sounds like they didn't necessarily have to close, just that the owner was "tired". I'm sad about this (why not sell it to someone else who wants to keep running it??)- it was probably my all-around favorite restaurant downtown...

Best "standard" Mexican food in Charleston, hands down. The vegetables and meat seem MUCH more fresh than at La Ha, Senor Tequila, etc. Awesome salsa and MUCH friendlier service than any of these places, as well.
