Don't let the white table cloths fool you. This is a restaurant that is "almost" or more accurately falls in the "wannabe" category. It has no place being mentioned in the same sentence as Charleston dining.
Spinach dip appetizer was good, the rest of the meal mediocre enough to not warrant a return visit with so many fine restaurants in the area. Steak Au Poivre was a thin ribeye, overcooked with brown gravy. No pepper, no cream, no brandy, no character. Chicken Oscar also completely misses the target.
It was also priced like the fine restaurant it proved not to be. I couldn't be more disappointed since it would be great to have a restaurant in Summerville that really is what this one purports to be.
What did you expect boomgoesthedynamite for 77 bucks, Crosby to have his hands in your pocket? Great concert, worth every penny to see these legends while they are still touring. Good job on the review Ballard, you captured a lot of the emotion that makes an event like this special.
