great art gallery with talented local artists!
another great show at the City Gallery.
saw this show last nite. if anybody is bored with the same old in chas, go see this, its rad.
Cannot go here anymore. Its crowded as heck with tourists. So sad, really! I had liked their food, but is just gotten impossible to navigate.
I wouldnt really call this a local spot anymore. Its a tourist spot. That might not make it any worse, but dont come here expecting to eat with locals!
Just keepin' it real.
Dont drive here either...impossible parking.
I am TELLING you this....and TRUST ME: IF you are looking for NY Style Pizza, that tastes as close as possible as the real thing, then ZAPPOS PIZZA, 708 King Street wins hands down. There is no close second place. (although it WOULD be D'Allesandro's, then Andolini's, then Monza....I like the taste of Park Circle Pizza, and even EVO too [when theres nothing else around] and in last place, easily) Lots of interesting choices, but for REAL, NY Pizza, ...go up King Street to the little hole in the wall, Zappos.
Or to Ben's Pizza on Spring Street in SOHO.
Oh wait, this is a Charleston review. jk!
See it's in the WATER people. You will never get a NY pie anywhere outside of NY. BUT: If any chefs are reading, here is where to begin. Use the BEST mozzarella cheese you can buy, and use lots of it. Also, put some zing in your sauce, and use lots of it. NO FREAKIN RAGU! Try an orange in the sauce.
Use Semolina or Corn Meal.
DONT skimp out on the toppings. Dont be cheap, JEEZ.
Just keepin' it real.
MichelleinSC whats wrong with living in a trailer and drinking PBR?
