Caption to their picture says "after their release from prison"? Nope. JAIL...Prison would be where they would be sent if found guilty and sentenced to more than six months. And with the low charge (per the TV news) of disorderly conduct, they would not be in jail any more than a couple of hours to be booked and released. How do we know that it was not just a ploy to get their 10 minutes of fame? How did they explain, if they were asked, why they refused to get back on the other side of the pedestrian walkway, which is another criminal offense (not charged)? Frankly #AllLivesMatter, so this is not a black or white issue. Further, the policeman, as we all know, has been charged with murder--nothing more can be done to him, so them asking for a community oversight committee to any police department in any city, town or state just ain't gonna happen, IMHO.
Jaxx: Read your own posting, in case you have forgotten and maybe you will understand why I Googled it. You said: "If you were there, tell us 'precisely' what she said. Or at least make a 'good faith effort' to do so." Further, as I told you Anna Johnson had been misquoted in the media; therefore, I wanted to get the source that got it correct, which happened to be the City Paper, on whose site you are reading this. Now...don't start name calling and we will get along just fine. Have a nice life.
Jaxx: Google is my friend, and apparently not yours. As was reported by the City Paper: [Anna Johnson made] "a requirement that county staff 'make good faith efforts to evaluate and consider claims made by residents for compensation due to the impact of [I-526] on their property.'" Considering claims is not assuring compensation as you would lead folks to believe.
