$2 / hr...$3 / hr? By law, minimum wage is $7.25/hr. If you do not gross $7.25/hr with your agreed-upon wage + tips, your employer must make up the difference. Now...how many servers report wages + tips in excess of $7.25/hr as income? BTW...I've worked food service (back in the 70s), and many nights came home with $200+ in tips. Good service is the key.
