Thought this would be a good place to try after reading the reviews and hearing from others that the food is good. Well, I can report that it could be one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Service and wine are the only things to recommend. Fried Calamari, nasty fried bunches of breading lumped on a plate. Stuffed grape leaves, overly bitter with a mushy indescribable filling. Greek Chicken - old, old, old - one step from being rotten. Thin and nasty looking. Looked like the chicken had been starved for weeks. Moussaka over powering taste of cinnamon. If for some reason you decide to go stick with the gyros and salad and good luck
Had dinner there a few nights ago. Antipasto, served on a hot plate with poor quality domestic meats as listed above. I wish it had different olives, marinated mushrooms or roasted peppers. Mine, warm greens with a few olives scattered about and a plastic container of vinaigrette. Fish and Chips, good. Roast Chicken sent out raw and then was told that because it is free range chicken there is more blood in the muscles and that is the way it is to be served. Please!! Nice wine list and killer beer list. I think when they get through their opening shakedown and get things straightened out Farringdon will be a nice restaurant. I will wait for quite sometime to return. I want to know my $80 bucks is going to be well spent.
