why not just stop granting variances? follow the rules that are on the books. are all these air b&b's in Cannonborough-Elliotborough? Greed has killed Charleston's charm.
Classic Charleston. Something positive is turned into.... Us VS Them. Grow up, "I'm From Here." Every day we are given opportunities to make a difference. some take advantage, and others only complain. The Choice is yours.
This article is right. east bay will see more establishments opening. but they are at the wrong end. Upper east bay/ Morrison drive is about to explode with places! Also east bay/market was already dead by 2002 when I graduated from cofc. Locals don't want to go there and deal with traffic and tourists. Check out the scene in Avondale, park circle, or Above the crosstown. I wish the Guys at 5church good luck but I hope you did your research.
I'm so happy to see interest in this article. I've been playing pinball since the mid 80's and always thought it was great and normal to play. Durning college I was too busy to realize other entertainment options had surpassed pinball. That being said the pinball community is here and inviting. If you have little skill or are an expert come out and play, in the end it's all for fun!
It's sad we are so far behind.....
