Just had the best dinner service in the world and a phenominal meal. A must for anyone looking to treat themselves.
I recently had a similiar experience to sadaboutfig and I'll start this by saying that i too have been eating in this town for a long time. About 10 years. And I love Fig and chef's new twist on cooking. Actually I love all of the restaurants in the "fresh on the menu" collection. There was just something different, not only in the food, which was not horrible by any means. Many of the appetizers and sides for the table were phenominal even though each course had a staggered delivery. And my friend found quite a few scales in his fish which was pretty surprising. (I think it was a snapper dish) The service, definitely a bad night. Our server was trying to educate us on the definition of sweetbreads, wagyu, trotter and haricot vert. I'm sure she was just trying to be helpful, but it came off as arrogant and offensive. Especially since we told her from the get-go that we didn't have any questions on the menu. We will go back again, but just want Fig to know. It's not a complaint, but just feedback. I don't want to start a riot.
