Hey remember when you could live on say, cooper, be so lazy that you put everything on the hood and park at any access! Those were the days...Oh yeah, what about when we could surf right up on the pier, without the special guy with his whistle. Cops would come out and watch, not even to say anything, just to watch. We were like a tourist attraction to the seafood place that didn't sell locally caught stuff. I'm crying now...

Dolly/thermmax, I've never been asked to by drugs on the beach by anyone. I have seen dressed up city, yo boys walk around with sox and b-ball shoes on the beach acting crazy, play fighting and bulling each other around. Maybe those are the "crazies" you speak of, but lets talk about getting "the man out the sand", or maybe the "barking out of the parking"....."Hell out the swell"...."This hole ain't honey, you can't have our money"..."Stick of gum a day, keeps the meter maid away" or "hey, someone took my bar of wax, oh wait, I left it in the parking meter"....

To be nice Mr. Mayor and Mr. Maupin, I don't think anybody wants your showers or your portalets. You guys are wasting time, and money from the public and your company. The more you piss off the beach locals, and especially the surfers, the more they will rebel. Nothing positive is happening with your "winnings". You may catch one vandal, but you can't catch them all. Also, surfers are calm and laid back, but when you mess around with their spots, they could get very upset, and sometimes violent. Do everyone a favor, get rid of the parking taxes, and toss the lifeguards, the surfers and swimmers can save each other. They did it for years, and most surfers are more conditioned for the situation, also they are usually closer to the victim. Oh, Mr. Mayor, BE REALISTIC, do you really want us to believe that one of your OFFICERS saved, wait, pulled off his perfectly starched uniform, and saved a drowning surfer at the pier. Hold on I have to take a toke to believe that one.
