It was an AWESOME night out! Definitely check out these casual, but delicious!
Debating in an online forum. Wow. How about both of you support the local businesses and meet at a coffee shop (not starbucks or DD) and hash it out in person. You might even be able to generate a friendship.
There is NO better place in Charleston to kick back and relax. Awesome wines, great scotch and bourbon selection, and my girlfriends love their martinis. Justin (Manager? Owner?) goes above and beyond to make your experience the best possible. Plus, he's pretty cute for a skinny guy!
This place is the BEST addition to Sullivan's Island!!! Coffee and espresso always hot, rich, and delicious...sweet treats are AMAZING, I don't think I've ever had a better piece of cake (coconut and carrot...can't wait to try the red velvet, they were out last time I went!). There used to be no where on Sullivan's to get a great latte and dessert, now there's a cute little cafe to do both! And I won't even go into how welcoming and wonderful the girl who owns the place (Michelle?) is. She even remembers what I get when I come in and I've only been there a handful of times! Oh yeah, they do WINE TASTINGS on Wednesday, often with live music, I can't wait to go to one!
If you go through Jeff's past reviews, including his one of Taco Boy, you'll see that he almost always visits restaurants on more than one occasion so that he can get a well-rounded experience of the restaurant, not just have a singular bad experience to comment upon. I've worked at a number of restaurants that he's reviewed and, although the reviews aren't always positive, they're always fair. Yes, it is one man's OPINION, and you should form your own, but as a general guide, Jeff does a fantastic, unbiased job. And remember, your personal tastes and experiences aren't always based on objectivity either.
