This place is really hit or miss. Many of their dishes seem rather over-priced for the quality of the meal & the sushi's not bad, but it's not very good, either. I'm not sure if their a/c doesn't work properly or if they're just trying to keep costs down but in the summer this place is far too warm to sit down & have a comfortable meal.
They've messed up my take-out orders several times (C'mon a spicy tuna roll isn't the same without the sauce-then it's just a tuna roll.) and offering me a replacement if I want to run back out & pick it up just doesn't cut it. I already drove all the way there & back. I'm hungry & having to drive back to get what I really ordered is a hassle & negates the conveinence of getting take-out in the first place. And forget about delivery: it always takes longer than they say it will & it's never warm by the time they get it to you.
This place could be decent...they just fall short in too many areas to make it worth it.
Decent Southern fare for breakfast & lunch but it's usually too packed on the weekends to make it worth my while. Be prepared to wait or arrive early. Warning: parking lot is on the small side & fills quickly on the weekends. Enjoy most dishes I've gotten there but skip their shrimp & grits, though-too bland.
I MUCH prefer Taste of India which is only a few blocks away. I found their buffet to be sporadically stocked and cold, more often than not. If you are going for take-out buffet, be warned they charge by the pound instead of a flat rate. They're in a building that used to be a pizza hut and still have the same sticky, falling apart booths. The atmosphere is dreary even for a quick lunch & if they're busy at all, it will definitely reflect in the service you'll receive. And all things considered, I wasn't overly impressed by the quality of their dishes. They aren't bad, just nothing to write home to Mama about.
If you live in West Ashley, skip Moe's and hit Baja Bistro beside Target in Citadel Mall instead. You'll thank me. Moe's is edible, but Baja Bistro is GOOD.
If you want to overpay for standard Chinese delivery fare, this is the place for you!
