Re: “Crescent Connection Bistro

This place is ok... it sucks they have to dumb down the spicyness of their food. We had Chix Creole, Red beans n' rice, Jambalya, Greens (I did order the mac & cheese but didn't get it???) Sadly they are using some canned foods (the greens) and the Chix Creole was lil more (can)tomatoey than I cared for.
However, the cornbread was super yummy. The crawfish potatoe salad was awesome (needed more spice). I did not have the specials on the board. I may give this place one more try and get the board special.

Re: “RESTAURANT REVIEW: Fuel

I really enjoyed this place! Went on a Saturday evening, wasn’t crowded the service was good.
Had the Kababs and Ho Cakes for a starter, the kababs were delicious. The cakes could use some spicing up though.
Mahi Tacos & Jerk chicken. Tacos- A+ Jerk Chicken...well Ill try then again next time when don’t forget that I ordered that.
The plantains... man those where good. I could eat those all day.
Try the mango cobbler-that was a perfect ending. The banana pudding, a work in progress? But definitely different.
Hey Chucktowners, check this place out. The outside patio is great and the bar is nice. But the food is super! Cant wait to go again.

Re: “Sesame Burgers & Beer

Sesame’s is one of the "better" burger places around the Chas area, not the greatest, but better.
This is nice cozy place with an interesting fare along with their burgers. Their fried pickles are awesome and a must try!!
The house made kitchen/mustard/mayo is interesting, so don't freak if it doesn’t taste like store bought crap.
The drink specials are pretty good, the staff is excellent (except when it gets WICKED busy) other than that, this place has it all: Live music, trivia, etc. Love the atmosphere!

Why there was a line for this place I'll never understand??!!?? Went for breakfast. Quaint little place, staff is young and wast ok. Only open for brunch on Sundays. Had a a specality omelette, crab, oven dried tomatoes, no ricotta and added cheddar cheese. The meal had alot of potential but in the end it was so bland. I was happy to have beignets, its been awhile since I'd visted NO but was disappointed by the heaviness of them. The coffee was... a little on the cooked side. The ONLY TRUE PROBLEM I have to complain about we were sitting by the kitchen and I saw one of the waitresses lift up anothe customers omelette with her thumb. I wont NOT go back and definately will not recommend to others.
