Re: “Taco Spot

I ate lunch at The Taco Spot today and have to say that I thought it was very good. I had the grouper taco which was great. My boyfriend had a burrito and my friend had a chicken quesadilla, which she said was very spicy but good. I'd recommend this place if you want something quick and in West Ashley. I know that we'll be back.

Re: “Michaelangelo's Kitchen

This is my new favorite in West Ashley. My boyfriend and I each got an entree, an appetizer and shared dessert for under $25.00. The best part? Everything was delicious. I had lasagna (meatless!!!!) and it was fantastic. I really like their sauce. My boyfriend had their baked ziti and it was wonderful. For dessert we shared a HUGE slice of chocolate mousse cake and it was fabulous. I highly recommend Michaelangelo's Kitchen.

Re: “RESTAURANT REVIEW: Sunflower Café

I absolutely LOVE the Sunflower Cafe!!! This is my weekend morning treat. I usually get the Pecan Waffles with Warm Banana Syrup (I've honestly sipped the syrup alone--SOO good!) or Eggs and Grits and Taters. They have the best grits and their potatoes have the perfect blend of peppers--not hot or spicy, just perfect. If you haven't been, GO!!!

(Since i didn't see it mentioned: www.sunflowercafe.net
It has the phone number and a menu for when you want your breakfast to go.)

Re: “A MOMENT OF CLARITY ‌ It Really Does Matter

you are preaching to the choir, sister!! i recently got our of a relationship with a brilliant "writer" who hadn't had a job since january (still doesn't; still has nothing published.) no car, no license, no way of paying child support for his baby. i was hopeful and felt the need to take care of him because he'd obviously been dealt a hard hand in life. he moved in with me for a bit and i took care of EVERYTHING. it all went south (er...north, actually) in the midst of planning our escape to vegas to get married: he went back to his babymomma. the difference is this: all my friends loved him. well, all but one and i didn't look at the situation as he did, which now i'm able... i guess the biggest lesson we all have to learn is to be more self aware and that's a hard pill to swallow sometimes. even if just one person who is close to you sees potential problems, you need to take what they see to heart. boyfriends and girlfriends come and go, but loyal friends are forever.
