Re: “Angel Oak Restaurant

The best food I have tasted in Charleston, for a decent price, wonderful service and ambiance. Love this place ! The staff are all pleasant, informative and eager to be helpful. Food comes out fast, is hot and obviously well made. Quality local ingredients are very apparent and the menu is perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever !

Re: “Emanuel AME shooting being investigated as hate crime, CPD releases images of alleged shooter

I left a little piece of my heart there when I moved away. I cry for and am so saddened for Charleston and especially its black community. I want to send a collective hug and dry your tears. Bless you and know that your white brothers and sisters are saddened and hurt as well and want this person found and taken off the streets. Bless Charleston and its citizens. Love you all.

Re: “Mayor Riley's plan to put Charleston nightlife to sleep

After many years in the Charleston area (NO LONGER THERE), I became familiar with some business ventures and holdings that Mayor Riley and his wife are part of. If you follow the laws he quickly had passed or went to the mat for, they always represent either his businesses (hotels), the Cab Company (Yellow) or the filthy rich Riley promoters and electors, who he speaks for. Its always about what makes him and his friends richer. In Charleston, some things never change.
Another point, when my 4.0 college student daughter was going to the CofC, she partied downtown and walked home always to avoid rides home with other drinking people, strangers or driving her car while partying. She was constantly harassed by the WORTHLESS CHARLESTON POLICE FORCE for walking and laughing in downtown Charleston. How dare anyone think they could go there and get away with that scot free! A tourist/college town, allowing fun !??
I have always said that the Charleston police forces (downtown and N Charleston) are the most uneducated (if they have a masters in the state of SC, STILL UNEDUCATED in my book), mismanaged bunch of people I have ever seen. Don't call them for help, they might have to do paperwork.

No matter how many Armani suits the old guard, Charleston blue bloods wear, I still hear banjos....

Re: “Diane Straney and the Feline Freedom Coalition are on a quest to save feral cats

Diane helped me trap and neuter 13 out of 14 ferals in a colony where I used to work. When I moved away, she was hot on the trail of the 14th one, who had just had kittens somewhere. She is a great person and good for her word. Busy out of her mind and NEEDS HELP running the place. Anyone with spare time who wants to feel good about what they are doing with it, please volunteer or send MONEY! Not a dime will be wasted.

Re: “Southern Charm: It's not a show, it's an intervention

One of the most truthful articles ever written in the City Paper. T-Rav has been in need of an intervention for years. Since his only known skills are womanizing, partying and lying, it's either Hollywood or politics for him. Having blown ( yes I said, blown) it in politics, I guess reality shows are the only thing left.
