Consistently exceptional. Sienna is probably the only Charleston-area restaurant whose food could survive in NY, Chicago or San Francisco.
I love the fact that Lana has located in this up-and-coming neighborhood (where I live), but the past 2 times I have gone the food has been mediocre. Tomato-based mussels appetizer was undercooked, and the tomato sauce was flavorless... guys, go to Sette in Mount Pleasant and copy their Mussels w/ tomato broth. It is far better than at Lana. Pasta with lamb sauce also lacks flavor. Tastes like canned tomatoes and ground lamb. Duck dish was good. All four dishes we ordered were served at room temperature. Server was under-trained... teach your people the menu! Our server literally could not make a recommendation on anything on the menu.
Am I the only one who doesn't get this article? Are you trying to make a point, be funny or neither?
Re: “Bocci's Italian Restaurant”
"Authentic" is a joke... watered down tomato sauce and overcooked pasta.
