Would Charleston miss another pre-programmed Clear Channel radio station if "The River" went down? I doubt it. Charleston rock has never been the same since WWWZ in Summerville went soul. Charleston is ready for a listener supported independent station. Not more "cookie cutter" corporate radio.
I think they left out the word "bigoted" before the word heterosexual.
And I'm sure Scalia doesn't put his Catholicism and Italian ideals behind his decisions. Suck it up chump, you're in the minority and a sore loser.
I find it interesting how Charleston native Blanche McCrary Boyd always seems to be omitted from your articles about Charleston writers. "RednecK Way of Knowledge" , published by Knopf, is a ground-breaking hilarious memoir about the Charleston Lesbian Feminist Experience of the seventies and eighties.
While Blanche was on the staff of the Village Voice, she was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. But I assume that's pale in comparison to a book written by an aging, fat and bald Conroy, who reminisces about his college basketball days. Perpetual adolescence reigns supreme.
No wonder the Repulsivecans, I mean Republicans remain so anti-intellectual and anti-cultural. Why wouldn't they? They're the ones who support the illiterate President, and as a voting body, the Republicans are the least educated ones of the bunch. Go check your own stellar academic record. Oh, I forgot, you don't have one, because if you did, you wouldn't be "Stuck on Stupid' by voting Republican.
