One of the best burgers in town. Try all of their special burgers, you might not realize that you'll like a fried egg- and beet- topped burger. Also the appetizers are really good, especially the flatbread with homemade pimiento cheese. Oh, and they have a great beer selection, with a couple specials each month.
If the manager at Wild Wings thinks people weren't leaving his restaurant because he didn't have a nonsmoking section, he's wrong. I've left that place several times because of people smoking near me - even at lunch. It was disgusting.
This place is so good. The barbecue is excellent, and you have the choice of vinegar, mustard, or a tomato-based sauce at the table. (The vinegar is the best). But the real winner here are the sides. The mashed potatoes are my favorite anywhere, and the macaroni and cheese are the second-best in Charleston. (No one can beat the Boathouse). I've also heard excellent things about the collard greens. Plentiful parking, cafeteria-style ordering, and a full bar with a decent draught beer selection. Definitely my favorite BBQ place in Charleston.
To the lady from Indiana: While you're busy teaching your children that gays aren't an acceptable topic for discussion, could you also teach them about recycling? Please retrieve your torn-up City Paper from the trash and put it in the appropriate recycling bin. Also, it's "my husband and I", not "me and my husband."
Re: “Wilson (a different one) makes Charleston campaign stop Friday”
Not THAT different of a Wilson. Alan is Joe's son, after all.
