Cru Catering
What Southern bride wouldn't want a macaroni and cheese bar or a shrimp and grits station at her wedding? Cru's combination of care, cost, and deliciousness makes them the best caterer in Charleston. They've swept this category since 2001 and continue to live up to their stellar reputation.

ChART Outdoor Art Initiative
- Erica Jackson Curran | Mar 7, 2012
Sheepman's extensive murals behind the now-defunct Buffalo South have long been a destination for underground art lovers, and thanks to Lava Salon's Geoff Richardson, you can now find similarly striking murals in other parts of the Lowcountry. Last spring, he headed up a project to transform the alleyways of Avondale into works of art, tapping local artists like Ishmael and Scott Debus to create murals depicting everything from Dirty Harry to a beautiful woman's face. More recently, the project has moved to North Charleston's Park Circle neighborhood, where realtor Thea Anderson is working on spreading the art love even further. A building on Chateau Avenue has murals by Patch Whisky, Molly Rose Freeman, and Ishmael.

The Bridge at 105.5
The station lives up to its name, bringing all sorts of disparate rock genres together on one wavelength — from classic rock to "indie" to Johnny Cash. And tune in on Sunday mornings for the Critic's Choice show, which features artists you're not normally going to hear on commercial radio. Think Magnetic Fields, Elliott Smith, and Jay Clifford.
