The North Charleston farmers market is open Thursdays from 12-7 p.m. in the center of Park Circle through the end of October. This peaceful market is the perfect place to meet a friend on your lunch break and get the fixin’s for a dinner to cook together. Joseph Fields Farm will be there with crowder peas and collard greens alongside two other farmers who have been coming to the market since it started 15 years ago. There’s live music on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month and easy parking. On alternate Thursdays, enjoy demonstrations of painting, caricatures, silhouette art, and more. Vendors of crafts, jewelry, and artwork are encouraged to contact Belinda Swindler with the City of North Charleston for inclusion in the market. For more information or to apply to be a vendor, call (843) 745-1028.
