The decor is a bit kitschy, with its sea-centric seafood theme, but the dining room is vibrant, the bar is usually packed, and the flames dance across the open grill as the kitchen busts it out, night after night. They still have their famous $3 fish taco Sundays, while the rest of the week they fulfill the briny desires of their clientele, whether that means a lobster, shrimp, and octopus ceviche trio or fish tacos. Chef David Pell’s locally sourced menu (Certified S.C. Grown) has plenty of sustainable seafood options prepared simply — pick your catch and your sauce — along with a few choices for meat eaters (grilled chicken, grilled rib-eye, flatiron steak). The raw bar sampler is a must-order. And if the island vibe makes you want some islandy drinks, they have a roster of award-winning mojitos, refreshing sangria, and frozen coladas.
