Eat, drink, and dance for the animals — Pet Helpers hosts their 5th Annual Fur Ball Gala on Friday. This year’s exotic theme is Fur Bollywood, so break out your brightest sari and enjoy an open bar, dinner, and hors d’oeuvres from Barry Waldrop of True Charleston Cuisine. After dinner DJ Lee Edwards will start spinning and attendants will have the opportunity to view and bid on a variety of silent auction items like vacation packages, golf outings, dinner gift cards, and jewelry. A live auction will take place during dinner and feature emcees Tom Crawford and Victoria Hanson of News 4. The Gala is limited to 200 guests, but tickets are still available by stopping by Pet Helpers or by calling (843) 795-1110. —Marina Fleming
