An EXCELLENT trek thru the RESISTANCE journey of the African prisoners of WAR [so-called slave] within the wilderness of North America.
How our ancestors survived the horrors of Chattel slavery. The TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE the GENOCIDE of the MAAFA/ AFRICAN HOLOCAUST
It gives some chilling depictions of the modern evolution of the current white power structure as actualized within the economic system of plantation subjugation and terror.
And how these horrors continue within the established system of WHITE SUPREMACY=RACISM..
These theories /pathology related to white dominance will be manifested in terror during the bloody European colonial period and it framework of racist ideology unleased into the system of Nazi Germany.
This show exposes the psychological/sociological evolution within national sanctioned system of white racist exploitation of Africans that the black community are still fighting /resisting today...
As the series progressed, it shows the evolution of the white id... As a means to ensure social /economic dominance. As we still see today with the exercised of white skin privilege... with as African people we resist European hegemony always!!
This show is awesome and hot!! Everybody is talking abt this show!!!
I just want to know why everyone acts like "the step-and-repeat," in noun form, is a super normal term we should all know. "Don't forget, tomorrow after your dentist appointment we have to swing by the post office to pick up that step-and-repeat I ordered." Yeah, totally normal term I use all the time. What kind of monster doesn't know what a "step-and-repeat" is?! For once, I'm with Craig. I will call it a "step and release" from here on out. And by that I mean NEVER, since I have made it 30-some years into life without ONCE needing to refer to that thing that they call a "step-and-repeat."
Why don't ya'll take this show and place in in New York, where it belongs. It ain't no way Southern.
I didn't watch the show last season, only read your recaps. I'm glad I can continue this as I was worried I'd have to actually watch it this season.
You had me laughing out loud. Erudite references even funnier in this context.
Great commentary and quite witty. I'm so glad that you too noticed that the cat was sitting on the counter where food is prepared, gross. I notice silly little things like that and it drives me crazy. I wanted to rush in with a bottle of bleach and disinfect everything. I digress so back to the show. I predict that Kathryn will float in (on her broom) and sweep Shep away from his date. Shep will dump Chelsea like yesterday's news because he is for some odd reason obsessed with Kathryn.
"...one of the Lost boys if they kept aging." Golden!
Very entertaining commentary! You describe them quite well with a great sense of humor!
Great commentary! I think I would rather have you produce the storylines on the show. You have hit it ( and with my flavor of wit) like a nail on it's head. -Yo
Next time: Shep and Austen have "bro sex..."
The Craig and Gizmo montage was everything!
Ugh...Landon...At what point will "Southern Charm" realize she's a freaking poser and gold-digger, and her "crew" will dump her like last year's Lilly Pulitzer??? She's awful. Bit "everywhere she goes, everything is paid for", and don't forget - she hangs with "billionaires, not millionaires". Spoiled and phoney brat.
If Thomas marries Landon, he'll be taking a chance all right.
There are serious emotional and mental issues and her recent past that doesn't require much digging.
It really is not surprising considering how gleefully she imparts her misery on others.
There's more to this story!
Please do not cover this show. These are awful people, and the show will exploit this beautiful city. Jersey Shore was a disaster for us, please learn from NJ's error.
But it WAS Johnny Depp, K-$.
I think this was the last theater in town that you could go to for under $10. What a shame to lose this hidden gem.
Developer's Greed will kill Charleston sooner than the rising waters from climate change.
When I read that Anton Yelchin had signed on for the title role, I bought the book with the intent of finishing it before the show aired. On June 19th, 2016, I threw the book in the trash.
While I wish the cast and crew well in this project, I won't be watching it.
Can't wait to read your write ups!
