Re: “Star Wars Day 2012

I'd go if I thought there'd be a bevy of slave Leias floating about.

Re: “Charleston City Paper Rare Beer Bar Crawl

This was a poorly conceived bar crawl. It was $35 for a SELF-guided tour, which I could have done myself on any given weekend. They organizers provided a t-shirt, a beer passport that listed the participating restaurants and allowed 2 small samples per stop. What makes a sponsored bar crawl fun is that it is a group activity.

With the easy availability and diversity of beers available in this town, anyone can set up a happy hour pub crawl for much cheaper and not be limited to just participating bars.

Re: “Movies in Marion Square: Thor

Hey...Remember when I brought up the idea of doing a Charleston City Paper movie night in Marion Square and Noel told me it was a terrible idea and laughed at me for it? Yeah...that was a terrible idea....

Re: “Trayvon Martin Rally

The popular news anchors and high profile moguls (and talk show hosts) have the biggest microphones and make the smallest contributions to important news regarding a decadent & homicidal culture.

Just going from the picture, I bet there's nothing short of chlorine gas that could make this show worth seeing.

Re: “Legare Farms Fundraiser

we feel very fortunate to be a part of this group of amazing restaurants and chefs participating in this event. Thank you to the Mccraddy's team for birthing and organizing this event. For our dish, B&b is preparing Arepas with Legare Farms pork. We are also making the same Legare Farms eggs that we serve at brunch available for purchase through B&B, at $4 per dozen. Buying these eggs is a great way to eat local and support the farm, and is an especially useful resource while the Farmers Market is dormant. Can't wait to see you all there and thank you City Paper for helping publicize this fundraiser. Keep in mind that all of the food served is being donated by the respective restaurants and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Legares.
