How did you all do in that storm? It looked pretty bad.
It's going down this Saturday! If you like live music, love good hip hop, you don't wanna miss this! 6 amazing performances through out the night, with the one and only DJ R Dot spinning all night long!
Wait a minute...A Junior Reid show is being held at the STONEWALL-JASPER LODGE?? Thats the only venue they could find to hold this show? Not slammin the lodge, but its not the place for a concert.
And you want $25 for "general admission??" Maybe I wouldnt take issue with this if it was a better venue.. And what the helk is VIP about a show held at the STONEWALL Jackson LODGE? Do you have to pay for parking too?? I love the reggae music, but..
PASS.
You can't just enjoy reggae music in Charleston thanks to some promoters. Their steady looking for a way to dig in your pockets, from these whack venues, paying for parking, to "VIP" admission. Whose going to reggae shows for bottomless liquor, mimosas, catered food, and valets? What else makes a show VIP? Seating? Whose sitting at a reggae show? I must not have that VIP mentality. I called mellow mushroom and they said they don't have any flights or steal the pint nights any night of the week.
Looking forward to the big show!
Not to be missed!
It would be ten times more awesome if they were still playing those instruments.
Bridget Vogel and A Fragile Tomorrow will be opening.
Come out and support JC!
Charleston has not had anyone this big in the EDM scene other than Tiesto last Fall. Should be a great party, especially since the Music Farm makes for a great venue. Anyone have information on who is openning? Klip Art perhaps?
So, was this canceled?
Was it actually not at the Citadel?
I was pumped about it and my girlfriend and I drove around for an hour trying to find it and never saw any indication that a get together was, in fact, "getting together".
I even called The Citadel and they have no knowledge of any such event.
We also drove around the residential area and zilch.
Big disappointment.
Just a note...this is a benefit for Coastal Conservation League and The Nature Conservancy efforts to preserve Red Cockaded Woodpecker habitat and provide education about its life, so it is a ticketed event: $10 for adults, and free for 15 and under.
That's been fixed. Thanks for the info.
That isn't the correct band in the link, it's an Australian indie band. Here's the correct one http://deadleavesmusic.wordpress.com/
Is it about art or just an occasion to booze early?
Check out www.lowcountryartistmarket.com for all the vendors and details!
500 religious fanatics showed up to deny women healthcare pretending such tea bagger bigotry was religious freedom? It is a lie that the Vatican wants expanded against the fact that abortions save lives, birth control pills cure vulvadynia, ovarian cysts & endometriosis BUT THESE gawdly gangsters won't admit any such fact, just their religious obsessions with fertilized human ova, these were the same dozen or so tampon terrorists who show up every Saturday morning to scream at all who enter the abortion clinic on Ashey River road
I really do enjoy reading Ms Duffy Lewis reviews she brings a attention to detail that Charleston needs in a writer... thank you Paul Nelson...... Givhans SC
Re: “Ways of Seeing: Phoneography”
$200 for a blown-up Instagram shot?
Art as fucking commerce, indeed.
