Why on earth are they charging $100 to talk to girls about puberty????
All I can say is that it was super wild. Huge dance floor and all kinds of stuff going on. Me and my friends had a great time
I had a great time. It was an awesome, fun night, and I loved it. Last year I went to a different party and this one was 10x better. Lots of dancing, and the entertainment was great. The lines to the bar got long at times but the bartenders were great and everybody I came with had a lot of fun. Definitely enjoyed it!
This event was a real disappointment at many levels. The affair is described as a formal event that offers "more than hors d'oeuvres and premium drinks" together with great entertainment. This is a joke. The entertainment was mediocre, at best. The food was pulled pork sandwiches and wings, served in cheap styrofoam plates that reminded one of a frat party! To add insult to injury, they ran out of food early on, with many of us not being able to eat. The lines for drinks were very long and they ran out of cups. We waited close to 20 minutes to get a drink. The condition of the bathrooms was abysmal, with vomit in several stalls and an overpowering smell throughout. Security was also a concern, as several guests were so drunk they stumbled onto other guests and there was no security to control them. The stage could not been from more than 200 feet away and there was not enough room for all guests to be so close to the stage. There was a large screen on top of the stage, but instead of projecting the performances on the screen, they played some nonsensical videos. All in all this is a cheap affair that is certainly not worth $125 pp. Whoever hosts this event only has profit in mind and could care less about the customer.
Over crowded - 1/2 hour wait line for a drink and just as long of a food line. Called for formal attire and then served chicken wings and pork rinds, (Yes Pork Rinds doesn't get any cheaper than that), bbque sliders and coleslaw for $125pp! Are You Kidding Me! I would never waste my money again.
This event is discontinued, thank you.
This is definately the beginning of big things !!!!!
Great show - last night was lots of fun! Plus they have a beer & wine bar!
Hi everyone, the Rachmaninoff to Rap concert is actually from 6:30-8:30pm and the VIP reception follows at 9pm. See you at the Hippodrome!
I know it's today, but in the article you mention Sunday. Just thought I'd point that out if you'd like to make a correction (= I will be there and I can't wait! What an awesome neighborhood to live in. I'm super lucky!
This blurb is for the wrong event...
To be fair, we went a couple of years ago and they had some interesting carnival "flame twirling" folks there, but the party was totally pitiful. A hassel to catch the bus into the event. Techno rock? was played all through the night and there was not one cover band. People just walked back and forth, back and forth thru the woods. Smoking mushrooms or whatever else. I guess some were thinking that they would see some SKIN @ Skinful, what a complete joke. Everybody "wants" to be naughty, but so very few are. If you want to see just a little bit of naughty then go to the "Lifestyle" aka Swingers club at the Low Country Desires. Hell, most people stand around there too, but NOT all, that's for sure. Skinful is a waste of time and money if you are over the age of 24, basically for college kids. Two thumbs down rating and trust me this critic and his wife have PHD's in partying.
This is actually scheduled for November 6th. It showcases Jamisun, Stillhouse and Matadero.
This event was not as advertised. It was little more than a happy hour with a some babies in costumes. It was held only on the back patio and there wasn't anywhere for the sidewalk chalk to go. There was no facepainting that I could find. It was disappointing.
Definitely something not to be missed!
