Fish, I wonder if you'd feel the same way if it was the Republican Party being obstructed by Democrat no votes and filibusters. At the federal level, a no vote is right more often than it's not. That goes for everything from the war in Iraq to Obamacare to anything else that increases the federal scope.

That question should be asked of Tim Scott. Why doesn't he have a wife and children? Not that I have a problem with his lifestyle, he just seems hypocritical. But of course the same could be asked of our other Republican Senator as well. The family values hypocrisy of our newly elected Republican Congressman is of course already well documented.

Is Ok, I agree with him 100%... I don't understand why people get offended when these jonny came lately say something "racist." I expect for these unmelanated people to say trash all the time, is about time I hear something that makes sense from these people. I personally don't want to pollute my powerful Black genes with white recessive genes, is already a little white washed. My kids are going to be blacker than me. Having a lighter skin child will actually be a curse for my lineage, I don't want more weak criminal cave ancestors following my child. Hell no!

I have not liked an individual like this since Steve Earle (or EMMYLOU or Rodney Crowell or John Prine or Kris Kristofferson or Jackson Browne or DYLAN!!! James Taylor was my first one - on - one back in 1968, thanks to the Beatles; CAROLE KING, PAUL SIMON, HANK, SR., and BUDDY HOLLY are also mixed in there too!). It is nice to have these one - on - ones again! __ I wonder who SHOOTER's first one - on - one was. WHO WAS YOURS??? PLEASE POST IT HERE FOR FUN!!! My Dad's was HANK, SR!__ I will revisit the other two albums just on the strength of the new HARDCORE song alone!!! If I turn out to like the other albums as well, SHOOTER will be in that ecclectic grouping! A one - on - one means you feel a special musical relationship with that artist that you could possibly go away fishing/camping, and listen to nothing but that artist ALL weekend. Very comforting for the soul. Sort of like chicken soup for the cold!!! LOL

Just because you happen to agree with Tim Scott's voting record doesn't mean that he's accomplished. This is especially true when he votes no on everything. The nation would be in the exact same situation without any representatives at all. We could teach a chicken to cast a no vote. A brilliant congressman writes and sponsors legislation that gets enacted and becomes law. A brilliant Senator convinces a majority of his colleagues of the importance of the his ideas. Tim Scott is a simple obstructionist who has accomplished nothing for his constituents and nothing for America. He is a token and a prop. The fact that you think he's brilliant but cant name a single accomplishment demonstrates only your own extreme partisanship.

This is pop - country, NOT country - pop which we loved when we were in playful moods, back in the day. DOLLY, was a rejuvenater of the country - pop sound. Minnie Pearl stuck her nose up at Dolly's NEW music. Roy Acuff was not completely against Dolly's NEW movement. When Dolly BRAVELY opened "The Midnight Special" with "Here You Come Again", it was another kickstart in country music. Stemming from this idea,POCO (finally) had a #1 HIT with "Crazy Love". It was long overdue!!! The album was in the top twenty also. Out of the fast lane of the new country sound gave us VINCE GILL who used Pure Prairie League as a place to hone his craft altogether: singing, songwriting, instrumentation, and production. Not many bands would allow someone to grow within their band getting ready to fly solo. PPL needed the shot in the arm, obviously, and allowed VINCE a chance to get to polish his style! That culminated in hit singles and two very SLICK and widely popular albums. It also brought back MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY with his great cover of Anne Murray's "What's Forever For?" Another artist, Dan Fogelberg, had some country - pop singles on the charts which radio put him in the "soft rock" play. WHY??? Good songs though; a number of hits there!!! Johnny Cash was giving advice, back then, to new artists/bands to come up with a good version of a classic song to get people to sit up and take notice , then you can do whatever you want on your album! Juice Newton obliged with "Angel of the Morning". This C/P sound with the likes of Kenny Rogers, Larry Gatlin (was even influenced by the RUSTY YOUNG sound when he wrote "Talking to the Moon" complete with banjo picking and Rusty's high-pitched hollering style and handclaps can be felt; just think of "Company's Comin'"/"Slow Poke"!), and Ronnie Milsap, along with Dolly, were the best at it. It was contageous! Artists like Glen Campbell caught the bug and, against the wishes of his wife,released "Rhinestone Cowboy". Also, he had "Sunflower" and "Southern Nights" and went Cajun with a very good version of "Bonaparte's Retreat". __Shooter is HOT to me with his new HARDCORE COUNRTRY single/video currently in rotation on ZUUS Country TV. Shooter tells the "COOKIE CUTTERS" this is how it is done. All the music sounds the same today. (ME):"I have to carefully select what I hear to like something these days. Nothing like SHOOTER or ALISON KRAUSS or ALISON/ROBERT PLANT or EMMYLOU/ MARK KNOPFLER to make tuning into CMT or ZUUS COUNTRY worth it these days. Melissa Lawson, winner of "Nashville Star", has a GOOD voice, but her song sounded just like a few of the others out there." SORRY!!! __
I'm very fortunate, in my own opinion, to be witness, in my life, to someone who beat EMMYLOU, in the 90s, in the running for Grammy Country Female Vocalist of the Year: k.d. lang with her album"Torch and Twang"! Best country group had also gone to the "SUPERGROUP", the Traveling Wilburys! Go figure! Ralph Emory let it be known he was a fan and had their two singles/videos in heavy rotation on the Nashville Network (TNN), "Handle with Care" and "End of the Line"! See where I was heaqde3d with this! I stand behind SHOOTER on this one,Nashville. And as for Nashville (the series), which I caught on abc.com for one episode (I did not want to waste my time at regular viewing to be sorely disappointed; instead I either watched another program or put on a DVD or went for a walk) and had seen Juliette Barnes' (Hayden Panettiere) music video: "SO, WHAT!!!" This is for you SHOOTER and the ones that you've loved before you!!! A M E N ! ! !

another woman. God did not make another man from Adam’s rib for Adam. As observed in these Scriptures, the purpose and intent of marriage has always been for a man and a woman to begin a family and to find joyous satisfaction in one another and their children.
No! Same-sex “partners” and same-sex “marriages” are not okay, are not normal, are vile, are perverted and need to be repented of. Our government run schools need to stop telling our children that such lifestyles are “different” and that we must be “tolerant” and “open minded about it.”
In Deut. 7:3 we read of the Jews being forbidden to marry outside of their nationality or race. “Neither shalt thou make marriages with them (other nations); thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.” This was commanded in order to keep the vile sins (such as sodomy) that the other nations were guilty of out of the nation of Israel. We observe that parents were placed with the responsibility of marrying their children off. I do not see, by the way, where God ever took this responsibility away from the parent. This is the standard we need to go back to; but many children no longer honor the parents in this matter. But here in this Scripture we observe that interracial marriage is forbidden for causes previously mentioned. This is spiritually emphasized again in 1 Cor. 6:14, and without question there is no such thing as same-sex marriage even implied in the Word of God for such is a wicked abomination before Him.
We read again of marriage in Ezra 9:12. “Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons…” The book of Ezra was written centuries later after the book of Deuteronomy, but we observe that the Word of God stays firm on the subject of marriage: sons and daughters, men and women, husband and wife! There is no room here for some strange perversion. Thus marriage is a God created and ordained institution to be bestowed solely upon a man and a woman. Any so-called religious leader, priest, rabbi or preacher who performs a same-sex marriage, not only supports a wicked and ungodly lifestyle, but also is a partaker of their evil deeds in so doing. How fearful is the day that awaits them.
The main objective of marriage is to “replenish the earth” or procreation, along with a loving companionship between the opposite sexes. To try to claim that the same situation prevails between two people of the same sex is an absolute impossibility, an absurdity, and is most abominable. Lev. 18:22 tells us, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind (a man), as with womankind: it is abomination …. For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people” (Lev. 18:29). To be an “abomination” means that it is “an object of disgust; something vile and loathsome; something hateful.” Make no mistake dear friends, God’s standards will never change because He is an unchanging God. What was abominable to Him then is still abominable to Him to this very moment.
Again, marriage centuries later after Ezra is still considered solely for a man and woman. In 1 Cor. 7:2 we read, “To avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband". That is, to prevent the sin of fornication and the burning of ones lust,get married to the opposite sex! (To continue).

Visited last Sunday after a much too long sabbatical from the Beach. We ordered the Pork Belly BLT. WOW! All the flavors mingled together to form a wonderful tasting delight. Domestic draft was cold and welcomed in just a few minutes. Dogs are allowed on the patio, and the restaurant has dog bowls with ice for your canine friend. I kinda liked the fries, which I usually skip due to my overweighted frame. The experience was wonderful, and I'll go back soon. Walking down the beach is quite calming, and having a nice meal afterwards is a nice reward.

Libby is married with a child. Does she have a house? If so, it now belongs to Crisis Ministries and can be sold after the paperwork is done. Her family? Too bad. If the husband was the crook, we would have no problems taking his assets, would we? I hope the courts put a lien on anything and everything this woman and her family own, and take it toot sweet and sell it off to the highest bidder until the lost money and expenses related to this crime are paid off. And then put the worthless bitch in jail for a while. Stealing from such a good program is unforgivable.

We are expected by God to fulfill our role in the sex we were born as. There is no justification in the idea that, as some put it: “I have long felt that I should have been born a woman,” or vice-versa. The idea is contrary to sound reasoning, depraved, and very repulsive; it is also a self-serving madness.

What is Marriage?
Until recently the word marriage was defined as: “The state of being married; relationship between husband and wife.” To marry means “To join as husband and wife; unite in wedlock. To join (a man) to a woman as her husband, or (a woman) to a man as his wife. To take as husband or wife in marriage” (Webster’s 1957 edition). No one in their right mind would say that these two words of marry and marriage mean anything else, and most of all, a perverted idea of same-sex marriage. The idea smacks of lunacy. This age in which we are now living, beloved, is suffering one of the most wicked declines into sin since the days of Noah. How blind the nations have become in their lust for sin! How can anyone in their right mind sit back and observe this world-wide epidemic and deny the total depravity of man?

Where was marriage first introduced into the human race?
Let me say at the onset that marriage was instituted to establish a holy, sanctified, godly and moral standard for man to abide by in order that sin might not have dominion over him, that men would be restrained in their sin, and that their lives might be more joyous, blessed and content. But even the institution of marriage soon became corrupted as men perverted its intent by acts of polygamy.
With the further perverted idea of same-sex marriage we observe that a deep-seated hatred for God, His law and moral standards, is at the very heart of it. Now observe: if marriage sets a moral standard, it had to be derived from some form of moral code that is instilled within men, as nations and people, to a very large extent have some form of marriage ceremony within their culture. Even the most ungodly and barbaric peoples observe some form of marriage ritual between a man and a woman. This is undeniable. How did these ceremonies and rituals of marriage between a man and a woman come into the human race? Putting it very simply, marriage between a man and a woman was created, ordained and instituted by the Lord God. Many may scoff, mock, ridicule and distain such thoughts, but the facts of history prove them as true.
The first marriage between a man and a woman took place in the garden of Eden. The Lord Himself performed the ceremony and gave away the bride: “And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. . . Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” (Gen 2:22 & 24). Added to these statements Genesis 1:28 tells us that God commanded the husband and the wife to “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth.” God did not make a woman out of the dust of the earth, remove one of her ribs and make
