Sexual assault and sexual abuse happens in all segments of society. There are just some people that are disordered enough to view their victims as objects to which they're entitled. Their crimes are heinous and we can all agree on that.
However, it is when "good" people do nothing or worse shift all blame to the victims that we have to look at ourselves and figure out why our society still generates and promotes these attitudes. These administrators and staff were placed in positions of trust and when confronted with their charges being victimized decided to ignore the easy call to law enforcement, to appropriately trained counselors, or to any other person that may rock the boat by doing the right thing.
How did those staff counselors feel after admonishing the student that was raped by her grandfather, making it clear that she was a whore and complicit in her own rape? Did that person feel like they made a difference that day? Did it even delay their lunch plans?
Who wants braunschweiger? Horrible liver product...do not tell anyone you sell that crappppp.
You may be surprised, Jaxx, but most black people aren't male. Most are not young. And even the young males are mostly regular Joes, no more inclined to murder someone than you are. And guess what: those fellow citizens of ours are more likely to live near the criminals, be affected and victimized by them, and yet more likely to be hassled or intimidated by the police if they call 911 to report criminal activity. Those people, American citizens like you and I, would like very much to not have to fear the police in addition to the criminals that you assume they all are.
20 bucks.....oh my...not many buyers here....Sure it is worth it, but...not going to work.....
I believe we were the first test market for it as well.
Good place, if a little unconventional, and excellent food. Honestly, my only beef with the place is that they charge a little more than I'd like for basics at a primarily lunch place ($3 for a taco, for example). Though to be fair, if you go to Santi's or Taco Boy or anywhere else you'll pay the same. I just got spoiled at the taquerias in Dallas. Overall, excellent food, excellent service, highly recommend.
I think you missed my point. Young black men kill one another on a daily basis.
Who's convincing them that black lives matter?
@Jaxx: Do you really not have a problem with the government killing citizens without recourse? Are you just a big fan of enormous, unchecked, authoritarian government?
These house of superstition leaders really need to be charged, convicted, and locked up for aiding and abetting these crimes.
Why are they allowed to continue when almost anyone else would be in prison?
Interesting name for this protest considering the large segment of the black population that has zero regard for life, black or otherwise. When's the last time you heard about a fist fight at Mall Park?
Keep in mind a true Maine Lobstah Roll has only 2 ingrediants; mayo and lobstah, hot dog bun for the cheaper ones and hoggie roll for more expensive (they hold more meat). I would think that 12-14 dollars a roll would be about right; especially if he is getting them right from the source and paying around 5.50 to 7.50 a pound. Air frieght, prep etc has to be figured in. It would depend to if they are flying him whole lobstahs (not practicale I don't think) or just the meat. I would try one.
Barrel House Spirits Grand Opening will also feature a tasting with High Wire Distilling Co. and Autobahn Foodtruck!!!! Saturday 11-2pm.
Translation: "I don't have a problem with people protesting institutionalized racism so long as I'm not personally inconvenienced in any way."
B. J. U. and we mean that quite literally.... None of us is wowed by this one, merely wondering how many more will come forward now that the ball is rolling. Hey, I know guys! Lets start a pool. I pick 8. The dean concluded "a safe substitute for immoral involvement"? Oh reeeeaaallly. We vote nay on that one sir.
I'm all for the peaceful protests as long as they don't block the major roadways as has become typical for this movement in other cities. Negatively impacting your community is not the answer to equality.
The obligatory: Well, it happened at BJ U
Spoken like a true attorney Mr. Pimp. It increases my confidence that if Mr. Fudd goes out on that Kill the Wabbit spree I will not be help accountable in court for selling Mr. Fudd my double barrel.
