Re: “5 local coffee drinks that are 100% better than Starbucks' Unicorn Frappuccino

This is just some of the liberal people that liberals survey. And this so-called poll involved just "HOW" many so-called coffee professionals?(mostly younger people, college)
Bottom line,STARBUCKS" make and sell the best coffee ever.
And that's my 2 cents worth'.

Re: “The New Yorker visits Piggie Park in its feature 'America's Most Political Food'

More reasons being a vegetarian keeps the conscience as well as the body clean lol. Never been and never will. According to yelp, the racist past doesn't hurt the chain a bit. In fact, the publicity surrounding the racism probably brings out all the trump supporters and confederate flag fliers on top of the simple lovers of BBQ... that covers nearly all of SC. Yeah, they ain't hurtin.

Re: “The New Yorker visits Piggie Park in its feature 'America's Most Political Food'

Being raised in NYC during the 60's and watching on TV what was going on in the South, us Yankees just could not understand the horrible things being done to black people. At the time, my parents called them "negro's". Did that make them racists? I don't thinks so. NYC bused black children to our all Jewish white Junior High schools in the mid 60's and unfortunately it did not work. I went to a sleep away camp with white and black girls. A YWCA camp. No problem. We did not see color. I hv experienced anti-semitism, but I just brush it off. I know I did not get jobs because I was Jewish. Big deal.

But, to blame this son's father? Come on. My dad was in Auschwitz and Dachau. Am I to blame the grandchildren of the SS Officers of the camps????

I think this racism has really gotten out of hand. We live in different times now. Bessingers has amazing BBQ. Are we really going to punish the son? Ridiculous.

I'd be interested to know what your top choices are for extra virgin olive oil. What's your top 3 or 5 that you'd suggest for the casual home cook?

Re: “Go for the hummus at Istanbul Shish Kabobs

I wholeheartedly disagree with the review of this place. I've been a few times and love the place. They don't advertise to be, nor do they pretend to be an upscale restaurant. Given the location, no one would be led to believe this. It's a great comfortable diner type feel. The food is fantastic. Great seasoning. I've never thought my food was dry or bland. I will agree about the review of the french fries, sadly that is correct, but otherwise, completely disagree. I strongly suggest giving this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

The American Flag Is the Real Slave Flag

Item# ISBN: 978-0-8059-9990-7
$11.00

by Stanley K. Lott

In The American Flag Is the Real Slave Flag, independent writer and researcher Stanley K. Lott proves that slavery was well protected by the U.S. Constitution, the federal government, the Supreme Court, American Flag, and International Law. He concludes that the Civil War was not a war to abolish slavery, but a conflict over high taxes and states rights. He does not seek to defame or embarrass the American government, but to tell the truth about American slavery.

While this book may shock some, the author advises everyone to control their feelings and obey the laws of the United States faithfully.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Stanley K. Lott, a black American from the South, has spent five years reading about the Civil War and slavery. This book is the result of that research. Mr. Lott invites the reader to check his references. CTM *Note He was a Bible Believing Christian- Check Stanley K Lott and his books! Stanley was a black man, who worked for Mr. Bessinger. Black Thugs ran Stan off the roads twice in an attempt to hurt or kill him because of what he had to say about his boss and our country. After that he wrote his books about the true racism in this country.

Re: “The New Yorker visits Piggie Park in its feature 'America's Most Political Food'

The stories you have reported on are all somewhat interesting but that's all.
The people could be a little better informed & have a better understanding of what I would call "interesting reading". And being better informed brings me to this God -given right:
I fly "MY" confederate flag every day along with the other flags that made America great & what it is & no person of "color"(for lack of a more descriptive term) is going to rip it out of my "HANDS".
