You do your research. The republicans have offered numerous plans since the President has taken office.
The biggest difference is Republicans try to deal with one thing the President never seems to take into account. How will we pay for anything?
The President has one agenda get re-elected and help the democratic party stay in power and the only way he can see it happening is make sure his core base keeps getting all the entitlements he can push thru. He can't win on his record.
Hence my previous reference to bread and circuses. Keep the common folk happy with all the entitlements you can push and figure out the bill later. One thing the Republican Candidate will never say. But i see no other alternative..the President is no doubt a Socialist. Thats fine if thats what you desire.
I'm a free market capitalist all the way. I see that as what built our republic and the best way for a free people to exist. The more you ask the state to do for you the less liberty you have. We will never agree.
artrogue, all you can do is oppose the current administration because the Republican candidates are offering no solutions of their own. You raise the issue of health care. Both Hillary and Obama offered health care plans during the Democratic primary four years ago. Do any of these Republicans have a health care plan? Do your "research" and let me know how the Republican candidates intend to cover more Americans than Obamacare.
Oh fish pimp your very entertaining. Those of us that oppose the current administration do a lot of research and we are not as one sided in our research as you seem to think.
There actually more plans from Republicans that can save our nation than anything the current administration has done or plans to do. Paul Ryan had some excellent ideas but was rejected outright and ridiculed by the media.
The President set up the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform in 2010. He made it non partisan with contributions from both parties. The report came in and the President proceeded to ignore the whole report. Although he had pledged otherwise he followed nothing listed in the report. He continues to ignore advice.
Lets not forget this is our money and its been wasted and we borrow 37 cents on the dollar to spend spend spend.

The health care law isn’t expected to make insurance “affordable and available to every single American,” as Obama promised. And though he pledged to be a president who “brings our troops home” from Iraq, thousands of those U.S. troops are now stationed in neighboring Kuwait. Most glaringly, he has failed at “bringing Democrats and Republicans together” as he so optimistically promised four years ago.
Furthermore, the health care law falls short of making health care “affordable and available to every single American,” as promised. The law provides subsidies to help some Americans buy insurance, expands Medicaid and doesn’t allow insurance companies to exclude persons with preexisting conditions. But still, the director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projected 23 million persons will remain uninsured — some because they can’t afford coverage.
Although you ridicule Fox News there are actually alot of unbiased pundits on that channel. I'll listen to anything Lou Dobbs has to say before I would listen to the totally unbiased Rachel Maddow.
Ron Paul Supporters?!!? I, for one, would love to hear all Ron Paul supporters
post what they think about the current administration and its policies and why they think he would be better for the job than our current president. Providing supporting evidence and links would get extra credit. :)
Received undergrad and grad degree in South Carolina. Wonderful state! Hope the good people there will check into Ron Paul's speeches and his family values. A good place to start is 3-4 minutes at toll-free 1-888-322-1414. Thanks and God Bless!
The people of Pennsylvania know a little bit about Rick Santorum, and that is why he lost his last bid for re-election. This is what the Philadelphia Inquirer said about Santorum on the morning after the Iowa caucus:
Voters who want wars, torture, assassinations, "humanitarian" bombings in oil rich countries, indefinite detentions, drone attacks that kill the innocent, erosion of civil liberties, domestic war on the people (drug war), out-of-control debt and spending, graft and greed, crony capitalism, pandering to special interests, bailouts, more of the same, must NOT vote for Ron Paul.
Voters who want peace, a humane foreign policy, restoration of civil liberties, an end to the war on drugs, sound money, balanced budgets, honesty, integrity and transparency in government, and a President wholly committed to Constitutional government can vote for Ron Paul.
Ain't that difficult a choice.
I like Mitt Romney. His pro-choice beliefs are refreshingly honest for a party that likes to rattle the pro-life sword during campaigns and then do nothing about it once in office. He also gets most of his money from Wall Street so we know that he'll end the crony capitalism in Washington. It doesn't matter to me that he pays the same income tax percentage as the poorest Americans. The rich have no moral obligation to make our society better in any way. They deserve to take advantage of the rest of us. If we were better people, we'd be disgustingly rich too.
Ron Paul has the best foreign policy, however I can't vote for a president who looks like Gollum. I've been told that he spends lots of time in campaign offices rubbing a gold bar and whispering "my precious". His proposals for throwing the elderly into the street would save lots of taxpayer money but I'm concerned about how all those slow moving old people will effect traffic.
I don't know much about the flavor of the week, Rick Santorum. I'll have to do my "research" watching Fox News and listening to Glenn Beck and Donald Trump to find out the truth. He seems like a real Washington outsider with fresh ideas from the Victorian Era but I admit that I'm uncomfortable with his desire to start a war with Iran.
I feel that Washington is a corrupt city that has too much power over the lives of true American patriots. Therefore I'll be sure to vote for a Republican this year, because the Republican candidates don't have any new ideas for solving the country's problems.
research ,get knowledge, know constitution, bill of rights, know that this was the most free nation before 1913 and we were very prosperous ,the only one who has votes strictly on these things is ron paul all others according to these papers should be brought up for treason ,so if you do not believe in these words you are only american in birth but not in spirit, god has given everyone soverinty this means to be free and all the others are wanting to control you ,take away your freedom and they have ,do not be scared of freedom, you can be free with ron paul,he is the only true american in the run for president,VOTE RON PAUL FOR FREEDOM
Laurie - agree with you, but be prepared for the liberal outcry and name calling that will surely come your way. That is all their collective muddled confused minds will allow.
Serfs for Ron Paul!! Toke up, everybody! (so what that he's written bills to outlaw abortion, privatize Social Security, eliminate taxes on wall street capital gains....)
Ron Paul is really the only answer if you want someone that can bring real change to the table, real change that America desperately needs.
This entire idea of supporting an anti-gay, anti-immigration pro religion freak is no different then supporting Islamic extremists, that just happen to want to destroy us because we Americans have sexual freedoms and are able to love by choice and not by force. Santorum, Newt and even to a lower extent Romney are all too radical to compete with Obama!! The only true voice of reason and one that will actually steer Democrats away from Obama is that of Ron Paul. Obama is a master campaigner and a master speaker. Newt, Romney and Santorum don't stand a chance at that game... Ron Paul is the only game changer!!
I've never been into politics but the way our government is heading has actually started to affect me. The debt I'm gathering trying to go to college is simply too much and I can't put myself in a position to owe the government that much money. I researched looking for a candidate that is seriously attempting the changes we need. Ron Paul is the only guy that proposes real budget cuts. That should be enough to get him elected if we were smart. We needed big budget cuts ten years ago. America has the biggest debt int he history of mankind. Our dollar is about to collapse. Just look him up.
Rick Santorum is exactly what this country does not need. He is a corrupt insider who does not believe in civil liberties. Independents will not vote for a homophobic racist and anyone who believes is a saner foreign policy thinks Santorum's war mongering is dangerous. Dr. Ron Paul is the only one in Washington who will get us out of this mess.
A web site that has very objective information on the candidates is
The ratings are based on their prior statements and positions over their political careers, with links so you can read them for yourselves.
"We in Texas"? All 25.000,000 of them? Wow!
Verbatim as I responded to JB's post which appeared verbatim in today's Columbia State.
We in Texas admire your Senator DeMint and his conservative leadership very much. We would ask your vote for our Governor, Rick Perry who has the same conservative principles, to be President of the United States. Rick Perry is the only candidate in either party with experience as a tireless leader with reverence for our Creator, protecting our inalienable rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, and fostering a limited government that creates a healthy economic environment. Rick Perry has beaten the big Democratic out-of-state machines and the Rove-Bush-Hutchinson Establishment Republicans in Texas elections and he can beat Obama’s Marxist machine.
Texans have made Rick Perry the longest running governor because he leads in job creation, he defends the border, he leads our international trade missions and led the tort reform passage that brought doctors back to Texas. We think you will find his less government, more jobs approach to governing very attractive in your state.
take a good look at jon huntsman; he's the only one w/foreign policy experience, he's proven he can work 'across the aisle', he did a heck of a job in utah. he's my choice; i wish the tv pundits would talk more about him. anne boone in new jersey.
Ron Paul has the best foreign policy. That's why he has more donations from the US military than all other candidates combined. (which is also more than Obama) The media says it's "dangerous" and so does the mainstream republican party, but if you actually listen to what he says it is the ONLY sensible policy.
Paul isn't afraid to go to war, he insists that we quit wasting our time, money, and LIFES in pointless wars and wait until there is a legitimate threat. He wants to pull out of Iran and Convince them that building a nuclear weapon is a bad idea. If they don't listen to us and decide to build one, guess what? He goes to congress, declares war, takes care of business, then troops come back home.
Ron Pauls top three donors are, US Army, US Navy, and US Airforce.
Mitt Romneys top donors are, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse (Switzerland), Morgan Stanley, Barclays (UK), Bank of America, and JP Morgan.
If you honestly think Ron Paul has a dangerous foreign policy you should probably ask an active duty soldier for an expert opinion and quit listening to the Media.
^^This is what happens when a 10-year soldier trys to educate America on National TV
