Re: “Trump kneels to evangelicals

I just find it sad that CP can't find a local to put out these opinions. They had to bring in a ringer from Baltimore.

Re: “A letter from an Iranian American to Charleston

"It is not about hating immigrants or refugees, but hating the enemies and criminals who created the refugee situation"

So you hate the United States? How soon we forget history. We had to go and destabilize Iraq in an international dick measuring contest. Saddam Hussein, bastard that he was, kept a tight lock on the reactionaries in the region (and was also a convenient ally when we butted heads with Iran). But we had to get rid of him, which created a power vacuum. And in the chaos, ISIS was able to thrive, leading to further destabilization in Iraq and Syria, leading to the refugee crisis.

We have a moral obligation to help these people. We caused this mess. The inability of Americans and our government to own up to these harmful behaviors comprises most of the reasons we have to deal with this bullshit. But keep on keepin' on. I'm sure America will be great again in no time.

These apartments are still affordable. It's just that the people who can afford them are more in tune with The Brand.

Hey! I'm a white female Virginia transplant, and hell yes, I'll have a beer with you. Not much scares me except for mindless hatred, and the only way to counter that is to reach out to each other. Thank you for doing that!

Er, not you pal if that is where you are coming from.

"where demagogues have the power to dictate our laws, education, economics, and what people can do with their own bodies and in their own personal lives (and think, too) - IS SHARIA LAW!

When one speaks the truth in matters of faith, one gets censured, even at CCP. Let's see if this one gets thru - STET or DEL?

Re: “A letter from an Iranian American to Charleston

I agree, we should let all immigrants and refugees continue to come here. Perhaps then one WILL bomb a bunch of liberals and , FINALLY, they will get the point. It is not about hating immigrants or refugees, but hating the enemies and criminals who created the refugee situation, or force the immigrants out of their country and into ours, while hiding among these unfortunate people to come kill Americans, or hide from justice in their own country. It is not about what has happened from terrorists in this country, but what COULD happen again, in this country. You do not lock the doors AFTER the fox kills the chickens.

If you immigrate here legally, welcome to America. If you are truly coming here to flee the terror in your own country, did no harm to American forces or her allies, and sincerely wish to follow our ideals for freedom and a better life, then welcome to America. However, Your plight does not mean we should take additional risk to hurry the process along. This is how two bomb makers got into Bowling Green, Kentucky. No, they did not create a massacre but who really knows their intentions for sneaking in here among a group of Iraqi refugees.

Finally, I ask the author, why are you still Iranian? Why are you not American? You seem sincere in sharing our ideals, why not acknowledge it and become a citizen, instead of ' a refugee from Iran'? It is not the refugee we fear, but the enemies who would hide among you. Can I justify weeping families and children being held for hours in handcuffs in airports because they are Middle Eastern? Yes, because it makes them and those already here safer. Those seven countries were not selected arbitrarily. They are in conflict with people who wish to kill Americans, and our allies. How welcome would I be in Iran? I would love to visit actually, the history of that region is wonderful. however, people want to kill my kind (american) there, and are willing to die to get over here and do it.

Hey pal, living in a theocratic society where demagogues have the power to dictate our laws, education, economics, and what people can do with their own bodies and in their own personal lives is a small price to pay to avoid Sharia Law.

For 15 or 20 years our state has not funded its roads like N.C. and Ga. have. As a result our roads are the worst in the U.S. Now our governor wants federal funds to bail out the legislature. Unbelievable!

Fits right in with the other architecture in the neighborhood. It would probably fit better on Broad St. by the Peoples Building, a very similar eyesore.
Vito, stick to the industrial real estate you're familiar with, you're clueless when it comes to historical values.

Yep, the article was changed after a couple of comments, so I guess that says. "low-budget smartass"
I wonder how long it would have taken without the "G" hint...
And as far as a Supercompressor survey, that makes it almost as scientifically accurate as Yelp or Mashable

Everyone in the country overwhelmingly loves our state flag, because it looks like a Jimmy Buffett song.

Too big a development with no infrastructure in place. Typical of the Beach Company pushing their desires, with their threatening tones, on to the citizens of the City. I don't support it!
