Re: “The Agenda: Beach litter in S.C.; Gullah-Geechee plan approved; Reckless + film incentives

I can never figure out The Agenda, as it always feels like everything has been discussed.

Bearing that in mind, I will be willing to discuss the following:

A) "President" Obama should be impeached for this:

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_…

B) That new bar on Cumberland -- The Craftsmen -- has anyone been? I have, but it was before hours, and I was refused service even though my feet were tired and I was beginning to hallucinate. It looks really nice, though.

C) http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/simga…

D) Stephen Hawking being an adulterer.

E) IUDs.

F) Stephen Hawking being flown and forcibly pushed around in a parabolic plane.

G) Huddle House™ Mt. Pleasant v. Huddle House™ Folly Road: DOES CORPORATE IMPOSE UNIFORM FRANCHISE MANDATES?

I) The trendiness of "Libertarianism".

J) Why does the Charleston Police Department deploy "Teams", and why do all the marked cars seem to commingle everywhere?

Re: “Film Rebate Bill signed into law

In my opinion, you shouldn't support the film industry at all, as a lot of standing around goes into making film.

Stop watching movies. Adhere to your principles.

Re: “Film Rebate Bill signed into law

Not looking for a fight but go and watch the amount of money wasted on the Army Wives set. I watched them spend a full day with at least 50 people to close off a section of East Montague and film a portion of a 30 second promo. There were five people there who were in charge of bringing each of the actresses their shoes when the cameras stopped rolling. Yeah, all of those people got to work but it is and incredible amount of money that gets wasted. If they were not throwing it away I wouldn't feel so bad but they are not the folks that need tax breaks.

I think the rebates should be larger.

What will the pasta dish be like?

I hope it won't be soul-crushingly creamy like the one Ryan Leaf serves at Leaf.

Also, I'm a hopeless romantic and fellow Jane Austen fan, and hope that the other Jane Austen fans won't be offended when I bring my Polar Bear™ cooler to the "Pride and Prejudice" discussion on Saturday!

I wish I could be part of The Scene.

Some of your friends look attractive and seem nice; methinks they could use a little Pronghorn.

South of the Border is now -- for a limited time only, and for the first time EVER -- giving out free fireworks*

*with the purchase of fireworks.

I just thought I'd point that out for the City Paper readers who are also Freeloaders because I'm trying to stay relevant and on-topic. (!)

I agree with Cid that Cam Gigandet is super-hot. I also want to clutch him as we attempt the first non-stop trans-Atlantic Yamaha Waverunner™ ride.

It pleases me to see that we can be so open about our sexuality on here.

Re: “Film Rebate Bill signed into law

The amount of wasted dollars in the film industry are incredible. They do not need these rebates. They could easily afford to continue their productions without these government subsidies and if they cannot, the free market has judged them. Just another liberal example of do as I say, not as I do.

I hope that works out for you, since you're paying the taxes the millionaires aren't.

Re: “A new Oyster Room holds promise on Folly Beach

I don't buy/harvest oysters after rainfall, and my go-to fishermen don't harvest after rainfall either (and it doesn't take weeks to flush out the bad stuff, more like a few days). You are so full of oyster wisdom. I hope you know some of us fish and harvest our own seafood, and thus understand the cycles and safe practices.

BTW, it just got to 70F in some waterways this week, which was pretty damn close to the May 15th cutoff. Twas only high 60's in the harbor last week. You are still missing my point that this place doesn't have to carry local oysters right now, just something other than Gulf oysters. And apparently they do carry other oysters, so I am not sure why you are trying to bring up moot points. You could have used all this wasted time to actually write a review for this place.

Like most shows set in the South, will they constantly have a sheen of perspiration on their brows as the ceiling fans fail to overcome the sultry weather?

Re: “Deregulation will only lead us to disaster

What a load of big government propaganda. It is BIG GOVERNMENT who makes corporations so powerful that they are above the law. If you remove government from the equation, Big Business immediately collpases and the free market flrousishes, creating joy and propserity through the and.
