Re: “Thank you for my beautiful life

Thank you for this. My beloved, beautiful, brilliant mother entered hospice this month at age 67, after being diagnosed in May. Her strength and fortitude serve her well, but I know it makes it harder for her to accept help now. I'm hoping she sees it as those who want to help see it--a gift to be able to be of the slightest assistance to this woman so many love.

Re: “USC Upstate closes gender studies center that booked lesbian play

Homophobia is a bigoted slang created by leftist Statists. It translates to fear of the same, which shows how bigoted and clumsy these agenda driven idiots are!

Whether some one can control behavioral desires does not make any behavioral desire a behavioral virtue. Reproductive systems are their for one reason, and the only phobics are the behaviorally perverted prideful bigots who think their perverted behavior illness is somehow entitled to recognition over other perverted behaviors like incest and bisexual domestic sexual relationship partners.

The left is a fascist collectivist body politic propaganda hammer. Stand up to them or be prepared to get fired and discriminated against for your behavioral viewpoints. They are extremely proud and spiteful!

Title IX and gender segregated sports for women only is fascist! Women aren't about equal opportunity, they are about promoting their own self serving interests!

Re: “Thank you for my beautiful life

I will not comment on the identity politics. I admire your unique courage in facing human suffering, instead of taking another way out. I have faith that your courage will be rewarded, and I will continue to pray for you and your family.

Re: “The South's intentional ignorance encourages groups like the Secessionist Party

Your "intentional ignorance" of the Civil War is what is so unacceptable. I can see that you really used your Thesaurus when writing today. If you are so miserable down here with all these ignorant red necks, why don't you move? I would suggest California, as those kooks would make you feel right at home. Or maybe Hillary's house?

Re: “Online campaign raises money to buy Quintin Washington new equipment

Great time to go out and buy a computer or really good Ipad, as with the schools being started this week, all the electronics stores, and the Staples, etc... are having some great sales. He could easily find a good lap top for under $500.00 I hope to see more of his stuff in the coming years.

The author needs to go back to NC. He's actually a troll, who writes with malice. More than likely an unhappy person & has a bunch of cats as companions. Sad the publisher won't reorganize all this. Probably will need to deal with him at a later time.

Re: “Local emcee says the Holy City scene needs more unity, support

Just got back from the show, local artists need to pay respect if they are taking more than just beats from current artists (definition of a rap flow). The locals were ok (terrible sound) but for "old school" the DJ kept playing lil scrappy and DSGB, if 2000s are old school I dont know where the hell I am. 5 old school songs (cliche straight outta compton, make em say uuugh, push it, big poppa) were the only songs from the 90s (or before) that I heard from 1030pm-1am

Even in your own struggles with this horrible disease, you were able to use your gift as a journalist down to your last moment to serve others. You are a saint!

Alison, this is after the fact...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I hope to catch up with you in heaven. You have had a great life and wonderful with words. May you witness God's continious blessings on your family while you watch on in spirit.

Hannah, the Locklear's that Stephanie refers to was originally a standalone place in what’s now a bank near Publix — it's closed now.

Great food! Ate there for the first time last week and absolutely loved everything about it. Our waitress was attentive and just as awesome as our food! Definitely will return often. Goal is to try everything on the menu - something yummy each visit!

Restaurants who let soccer parents guzzle beer while their kids run around having fun = repeat customers and longevity on the island which it seems like many restaurants over here don't have.

Someone should let the author know Locklear's is still open, it is on the pier.

Re: “James Island sports a restaurant scene as quirky as its residents

After taking 8 paragraphs blasting our James Island eateries and the people who live here, only the last paragraph praised Sean Mendes for his two restaurants. I appreciate the last paragraph and the rest is garbage, stay the hell downtown!
