There are many people who have made it back from the brink. I'm not affiliated in any way, just wishing you the best.
Oh no! I wonder if they will keep the Hay operation going.
Personally, I am proud of Muhiyidin d’Baha (sounds Gullah to me) for having the courage of his convictions, and the creative wisdom to form a symbolic "citizen's review board". Working through channels can be excruciating, sometimes even for simple matters. Hopefully, his reasonable actions will inspire the community safety measures that we all seek.
One benefit of the upcoming FB requirement: hopefully Dunkin Dickhead will wither up and disappear back into the hole from which he emerged. Fucking knuckle dragging cretin. Posts like this make me understand the move, Sam.
Now, about that Jaguar XJ...
Reading this column and browsing the comments, I am struck by those who apparently wake up angry and give a thumbs down to the promise of life itself. What a sad commentary, actually, that the ease and anonymity of the Internet creates a stronger and yet more fractured sense of community.
To our correspondent, I simply say, "Thank you and best wishes for your future and that of your daughter, husband and loved ones!"
I believe plastic bags are great. Example: The City Paper just put their ass in a plastic bag.
Well, judging from the comments, I believe you have just put the last "NAIL" in your wooden coffin.
Simple, rather than include the spirits in the price of the ticket, just ask for "DONATIONS" to attend the event. Voluntary donations.
You are not selling spirits, you are giving it away.
Good one, Matt
Alison. Thank you for your incredible gift of words and for always standing up for what you believe in, and trying to make the world a better place. It meant so much to me when you defended LGBT students and me when we were going against the bigotry of the SC legislature during the 'Fun Home' debate. You're an incredible woman and have impacted more people than you know. Thank you and we can only try to keep making the world a better place in your honor.
Charleston Place service has a great reputation. Should be a lock. They've needed this casual concept option for years and the prices look surprisingly reasonable.
Alison, I don't know how you manage to top yourself every dang time, but you do - your writing is so clear, so beautiful, and so inspiring, much it would seem, like the lady whose zinely friendship I have valued for years. Thank you for the feminist t-shirts that Inky and I both wear with pride. You're a nifty number - always have been, always will be. Love to you (and your mother). Maybelles will ring.
fine by me, i'm just as big an of an asshole on FB.
^^ @Oldman. LOL. Henry's will Always be the center of the #douchiverse but at least you will have a stool. No offense, but I couldn't just leave that there. Cheers.
They should be tried for treason or move to new York.
Th idea of banning the plastic bags to me is an excellent one based on the very fact that they are a pollutant . I try my best to keep reusable bags with me but, if the option of not using a plastic bag was in place I would get into a better habit of using my own bags .
Sounds great Jack. Just doesn't match my experience when P&C did the exact same thing and their comment community (far more active than this one) simply went Poof.
It's a matter of some of our more famous, or perhaps infamous, posters going away. Time will tell. I expect, as with P&C, the discussion will move to the paper's FB page.
