"Now, now...I am all for protesting. But,"
You're not for protesting if you have to add a qualifier regarding your terms for protests.
"And spare me this popular vote garbage. Hillary won the popular vote by CA only. Take CA out "
If we ignore the will of the state with the most people, the numbers would be different. I am so looking forward to the next four to eight years of this type of derangement and pretzel-twisted logic.
"I can't wait for this new administration to start and clean house."
Cleaning house of course means picking the same retreads for cabinet positions and administrative/advisory roles that have been involved in politics and lobbying for decades.
One way to combat this is to open your local ticket office 90 minutes before online sales are available. Still limit to 4 or 6 tickets but if you do this you allow locals who really want to attend and who are willing to go onsite to get tickets.
Then whatever else is available is a free for all after the first 90 minutes. This will stop a lot of the problems.
My goodness....this is an Inauguration, for goodness sake. We would not be having this conversation, if we had not had the the threats by the likes of Michael Moore and his left wing lunatics who actually have said ( maybe not Michael) but other left wing loons, that there hv been death threats. Bottom line, these protesters have called for violence. Now, now...I am all for protesting. But, how about doing it the next day, like , from what I hear, a bunch of dames are doing...however, I did hear at first, some Pro-Life women were going to attend also, but then they were told, they could not. That is inclusion for ya by the Left wing. And shame on John Lewis. First he lied, because he did this when George W was elected. He did not attend the Inauguration. He said this was the first time he did was doing this. It really is a disgrace what the democrats are doing. Babies. And the rest of performers bowing out because they ar getting death threats...what nerve from people. Even Steve Harvey, he got death threats, just by talking to Trump....what is going on with YOU People????
And spare me this popular vote garbage. Hillary won the popular vote by CA only. Take CA out and Trump won the popular vote by 52%/48% over Hillary. Google it. Thus proves we need the electoral college vote. And all I heard by CNN and MSNBC , and trust me I watched them both was "the road to the WH by the electoral college, and Hillary was walking in with 242 electoral college votes.." That was all I heard. and how hard, or nearly impossible it was for Trump to get to 270. Never, ever, did the popular vote enter into the equation, and all you liberals out there know it. As a woman, did I cringe, with some of what Trump said? Yes. But living in NYC my whole life, never ever was there any scandal of Trump molesting women...and trust me, the NY Daily News and the NY Post would hv gotten wind of it immediately. And that stupid tape that we heard with Billy Bush? Give me a break...how many of you guys have spoken about women like that? And I can tell you the conversations my girlfriends and I hv said about men. And I voted for that pig Elliot Spitzer as Governor of NYS and look what he turned out to be! Caught with hookers!!!! And then gets a show on CNN? Are you kidding me? Goes on Bill Maher and I hv to listen to him putting Trump down. He get a pass because he is a liberal? It always seems that the democrats gets a pass when it comes to any scandal. The double standard boggles my mind. I was a democrat most of my life, but I left the party and became an Independent because I read comments like this that are so biased. So one sided. I can't wait for this new administration to start and clean house. And just as all these protesters have a right to go to DC and try and make trouble for Trump? because they have already said they are out to make trouble, Chris Cox has every right to do what he is going to do.
Having only been in this town for a few years, any downtown imbiber will tell you, that when T-Rav, wanders into the establishment your drinking in, it's time to leave.
Its a perfect question for the 8 years weve been through. Our current president presented himself as a superhero.
Were we a country that looked to a man in an empty suit to save us?
"We are the change that we seek", "this is the moment the oceans receded", "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor"
Yeah, that was the Obama presidency in a nutshell
Brenda, Thank you for the information.
Disrespect and the lack of consideration is what is wrong with this world - everyone's an asshole (admittedly, myself included)! All of us were taught that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar and to play nice, even if you have a differing opinion, no matter the reason for that differing opinion. No one wants to get along anymore. I recant my clever "Wall of meat 4" high" comment since it was disrespectful. If going to Washington and providing citizen protection is what they want to do, then by all means, travel. Be careful and please keep (the) calm. And don't forget to help control the pet population and have your pet spayed or neutered.

You must have gone on a bad day. While I kind of agree with the judgement of the wings and the ribs, the brisket and smoked turkey were to die for. I could barely move the brisket from the platter to my tray and ended up using my hands because because it was falling apart and unbelievably juicy. And the turkey... I'll start by saying I'm not really a fan of turkey - but this, this was something else. There was so much flavor and it ended up being one of my favorite meats. And the pork belly. The pork belly was amazing. Looking at it I wasn't too sure, but after taking a bite I was hooked. The only thing that was a bit dry to me was the ribs. I can't even comment on dessert because I couldn't save room for it with all the delicious meat in front of my face. The sides were good (we chose baked beans, mac n cheese, and coleslaw), the baked beans were definitely the favorite. I would highly recommend this place as it is some of the best BBQ I've ever had.
Answer my question Tupper
Gosh, Ron is so smart. If we would all just listen to him, he has all the answers. Kind of makes you think his actually life is in disarray because all he does is nah say everything and has stupid "solutions" to everyone's problems. He must have plenty of free time to comment on everybody's articles.
Rap is amazing, probably the best music ever made. Aesop Rock makes Bach and Beethoven look like Milli Vanilli
"Wall of meat" really had me thinking of a nice BBQ spread for some reason, but he's going for a human shield concept to backup the police doing crowd control. I'm sure the coordinated Metro PD are really looking forward to it. Fortunately Trump canned the General in charge of the event security effective during the ceremony, so they'll have other distractions to handle.
This is a really strange time we've come to. Good luck, neighbor, enjoy being weird in a group.
You liberal women are so tolerant. Make sure you bring that sign with an X over the fetus.
The New Wave Feminists has been unceremoniously expelled from the list of participants at the upcoming Womens March on Washington, once organizers discovered that the group did not adhere to the strict pro-abortion requirement for marchers.
New Wave Feminists had been chosen as an official partner of the Jan. 21 Womens March on Washington, until the Atlantic magazine revealed that the group believes in the right to life of unborn children.
just more divisiveness
So much anger and disrespect in these comments and is a direct result of the obvious anger and disrespect we've been seeing out of our pres-elect for the last 24 months. I agree that if you don't believe in abortion as a tenet, then you should not be forced to fund something that goes against that. And the SCOTUS agreed and shut down the fines associated with failure to comply. Obama agreed and those that are insured through employment in these "religious" organizations can now find funding thru the feds when their own insurance does not cover the procedure. So there is no need to get terse or act of children here.
We surely need to come together, but shutting down an institution which is the very foundation of the USA's existence (immigration - Natives were the only inhabitants when our fore-fathers came to these shores) based on one's religious beliefs is not the way to do it. Isolationism will ultimately spell doom for this country and put us in much greater peril because we are no longer able to gather intelligence effectively so that we can protect ourselves. Isolationism is re-treating, like waving the white flag or cowering in the corner, locking doors (building walls) and hiding behind them. You can't see what's happening on the other side, so we are not able to prepare to defend ourselves. We must engage in the interests of national security.
We've got to find a way to coexist and respect one another because otherwise, this will devolve into mass chaos. I already feel unsafe now because of the rising bigotry, and that is not in line with the "Pursuit of Happiness" that the "Declaration of Independence" granted.
I would hope that our newly elected President, would seek to block DANGEROUS people regardless of their origins or beliefs, because the non-extreme of each faith far outnumbers the extreme so we need to vet everyone (as we do now) to separate the extremists and deal with them accordingly.
Wall of meat 4" high, maybe.
We need signs saying "I want my whole damn dollar!" by Nina Turner!!
