No Halloween Performance! Please join us on Thursday or Saturday.
It was an awesome show!
I saw this show last night and give it two-thumbs way up. I was skeptical how well Mel Brooks' classic would translate as a musical, but by the second act I was in tears laughing all the same. I could not even look at Kyle Barnett (The Monster) without cracking up, his portrayal would have made Peter Boyle proud. Becca Anderson (Frau Blucher) and Aaron Hancock (Igor) were also pitch perfect in their portrayals of their respective iconic comedic roles. Also, I dare you to try and watch the "Roll in the Hay" sequence featuring Dr. Frankenstein (Jessie Siak) and Inga (Jocelyn Lonquist) without laughing. Go ahead and try.
There is such a variety of vendors - all of your holiday shopping needs can be met in one place! And the silent auction items are incredible - great baskets from local shops and tickets from area attractions. Can't wait for this event!
Wow..it only took, one of my friend's favortie bands from 1980, over 40 yrs to play here.
oh geez... i can be straight edge for halloween.
Just a slight correction, we are seeking a $5 suggested donation at the door for entry in to the comic book show, all of which goes to benefit Communities in Schools. And if you come to the comic show you can get a voucher for a 2 for 1 ticket to the movie later!
Copacetic will be playing as well
Technically, The Cardinal James Show is made up of Steven Cardinal and Charlie James, rather than a "him" called Cardinal James.
Bella Vita premiered in Charleston on September 17th at the Terrace Theater. Is this an oversight or does the free admission price include a ride in a time machine back to the magical evening when this film DID premiere?
This was terrible. You pay $15 then have to stand in a line for about 45 minutes to get a beer. The demand wasn't managed well at all.
We had a blast. working out as a family!

Be part of the fun!
I've seen several very good plays at the Dock Street, but play can not be described as a "bigger-than- life comedy". Far from it! My family and I went to see it last night and the only laughter we heard were a few snickers here and their from the plain BAD acting and delivery of the lines. I can't believe all these actors were so bad, so I blame the director. They were trying TOO hard and over acting to the point that it wasn't funny in the slightest. We walked out at intermission as did several people around us. Don't waste your money, folks. Sorry, but to quote a line in the play, "it STINKS!"
Good event could only sample 4, portions were more then a taste. Nice venue for this type of event though it might have been more comfortable indoors with air conditioning. Stayed till 8:30 would have stayed longer to enjoy the music if there were tables to sit at. Will do it again next year.
I agree with the previous reviewer--for the price, the wine selection and quantity was disappointing. The people pouring wine kept saying "just a sip"--for $25 there were four tickets--one ticket per 'sip', which was four sips! Add that to the quality of the wine (Yellowtail Shiraz and similar), and clearly this was not a 'wine' event as advertised. Charge $10 and forget the wine (and standard, run-of-the-mill wine glass). This was the first year, so next year might be better. The food and music were good, so the event has some potential, but the wine aspect should be seriously improved or dropped altogether (with a concomitant lowering of price).
