Best event in Mt Pleasant! Love taking the water taxi to the bars. And this year they are adding the Party Rollers party van as an additional shuttle. Can't wait!
This is the best time! One of the best events in Mt Pleasant. You can't beat the location for a pub crawl. With most all of the bars on Shem Creek, you get from one bar to the next by riding a water taxi. So much fun! There's always great music and fun, silly games that you play to win Mardi gras beads. This year they are using Party Rollers party van as an addition to the water taxi to also get around to all of the bars!
The Parrot Heads and Shem Creek bars know how to throw a party!
This show plays through February 27th.
Timely blog post ! Incidentally , if your company has been searching for a a form , my husband discovered a blank document here http://goo.gl/Ms4ebj
Hey, how about a little love to the other artists performing that night? I'm not knocking these two, but I think that you could have mentioned Grace Joyner and Haley Shaw, as well as talked about their music.
And "Everything turns gray" becomes very true.
Address is actually 543 Long Point Rd, #103, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464
Where? Trying to make the Tuesday at 7, but have no idea.... And the location "rising roll"'s number is not working.....
Worst holiday market I have ever been to. It was a total misnomer. There was nothing particularly seasonal about it. There was a big overpriced store filled with tacky things like fur covered stools and wall-paper/fabric samples on one side of the building. On the other side of the building was a warehouse-like area with a handful of vendors selling random junk. Complete waste of time. I was looking forward to getting in the holiday spirit and spending some dollars, but instead I left feeling like I was duped into stopping by.
The miles of traffic going both ways down Riverland Dr and on down Maybank, Camp, and Central Park to Folly suggest that the Festival of Light needs no more promotion. Plus it's not free.
THIS ARTICLE SORTA BOTHERED ME A LITTLE AS IT INFORMED US OF JUST ABOUT ALL THE GREAT EVENTS AROUND CHARLESTON EXCEPT FOR ONE!!!!!!!!
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ANNUAL JAMES ISLAND COUNTY PARK &
"THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS"
ONE OF THE GREATEST EVENTS, ESPECIALLY FOR THE "KIDS"
The food is really looking yummy and just can't control myself more and want to eat it right now. This is little far from my location but will definitely visit soon there. Untill then I am enjoying my food at https://local.yahoo.com/info-14364526-moon-thai-restaurant-weston.
Hm, according to the St. Thomas website, this event is not scheduled for this Sunday, but for the following sunday, 12/13.
Open jam is a great way to spend Saturday evenings enjoying wonderful varieties of music and great company. Each week students bring new and improved talent to the stage for their audience. Not only do students learn how to play through lessons, but Open Jam and the staff have helped build self confidence in these rising stars.
"...faux-Marilyn Manson makeup..."
Well, hello, dated-as-fuck reference. Glad the Chicago Tribune is so goshdarn hip to what the kids are up to these days.
I have so many questions about this image alone: http://media1.fdncms.com/charleston/imager…
Any idea when this starts??
Way too crowded. It was a friendly crowd, but that's Charleston (thank goodness). They need a bigger area for this event (someone in line suggested James Island park). Long lines, spent 80% of our time waiting in line, another 10% on bus back and forth to parking. (And the rest of evening regretting going to this event.) The entire time we were there it was unclear where what was. Couldn't they have a map on display? We got in a few lines, just to get something to eat, not knowing exactly what we were waiting for. I didn't see more than about 6 mac and cheese choices. Food ticket sales tables needed to be set up to be run more efficiently. There were a decent number of people with kids and strollers, but I saw very few older people and nobody in a wheelchair. The ground was on the verge of muddy so would have been difficult for accessibility anyway. There were overflowing garbage cans. Fortunately most people did put their trash in the garbage cans (the Charleston crowd). (Over)spent $42 for two people. Disappointed.
Traffic on Folly was backed up to Camp.
Why don't they do these runs in the sticks somewhere so they aren't so disruptive?
