The female bartender was just plain nasty. She took an order from a guy standing right next to when i clearly was before him then when i tried to get her attention she yelled you have to wait a aminute. I asked for Grenadine which they had in a bottle and she grabs a tray of cherries from the holder and poured the juice right in my drink. Also Karaoke Chris was rude to me. When It was my turn to sing on the Mic. Im an African american female and there was one african american male in the building and I guess it was Chris friend and said on the mic "hey man I couldn't tell the difference between you two" and started laughing to his underlying racial joke. But with my beautiful self i stole the show and he shut up. But Its a shame that 2014 I had was witness to ignorance of this sort in my own hometown. And I will definitely let the world know!!!!!

Re: “Groundhog Day Concert

Great show and the sound was so much better than the REK show in October. The performances were magnificent, even if the songs were at times nontraditional.

Re: “The Cubes

Not sure where this band came from (The Cubes), but all I can say is "Wow" !!! Rock music the way it should be played. Very tight band with a 60's flair, hope they play here at Tracey's again, cause I come here often and live close.

Re: “Groundhog Day Concert

Truly an unbelievably bad......terrible .....awful concert. Had to walk out of it after an hour, just could NOT take it anymore. This one guy standing like a statue singing about saving his wisdom teeth for the tooth fairy and then had to throw them away because they started stinking and everyone laughed like it was hiliarious. Insanity is what it was, sooooo awful yet people were clapping for it. Nothing but artsy fartsy people there. My wife and I thought we had just stepped into the twilight freakin' zone. Awful, even Shovels and Rope sang a song TOTALLY subdued! They know those type of people hate Rockabilly! If this is an indication (and it was) of The Art Institute then there is no wonder why they can only stay open due to government funding.

Re: “Suburban Myth

Excellent vocals, venue needs to work on sound, but overall a great band with a lot of potential. Can not wait for a venue that actually compliments them. Terrific!!!! Dream bigger!

Re: “Rehab

Hell yeah! its been a while since I have been to a show...a few months. It sucks that Rehab is going their separate ways, though. I ALWAYS enjoy their live shows. If I know you, see you there! Rob KuZ.

Re: “Charleston Restaurant Week

With all of the great dining options that Charleston offers, Restaurant Week gives me and my husband a chance to try places and foods that are new to us. We have had great service at every restaurant we have tried and have yet to be disappointed in the food. We went out Sunday, January 12, for dinner at Blossom and enjoyed everything. Unfortunately, prior to our reservation at Blossom, we stopped in to Cypress for a cocktail and an appetizer, the bartender had no problem expressing his negative opinion of restaurant week. I understand the discontent at having lower total sales therefore lower tips, but for the hour that my husband and I were at his bar we were the only customers so due to Restaurant Week, the bartender made a bonus $10 tip ($35 check) off of people that would not have been there on a normal Sunday evening. Every dollar counts, not just for those receiving the tips, but for those giving the tips as well.

Re: “The Machine

I agree that The Wall is not Pink Floyd's best album, but c'mon man! It is definitely up there. As for the movie, it is definitely not boring. Sure, it is a movie that you need to watch more than once to really pick up on the symbolism, but I think that is what is great about it. I recently saw Roger Waters The Wall in concert and it was hands down the most incredible show I have ever seen and I have been to plenty of great shows. Chris, I think you need to check yo'self before you riggidy wreck yo'self.
