Re: “Fourth of July Blast

Be careful how you phrase this?

I was getting all excited thinking they were having PP free for one day only, not ONLY fireworks

(WEBSITE: Admission to just the fireworks event is free, but does not include admission to USS YORKTOWN or other exhibits)

Re: “Hendrick's Gin Contest Crawl

I found it interesting that this crawl does not visit Blossom on East Bay. I always look forward to the Gin Blossom they serve there. It is amazing! Hendricks Gin, house made tonic water, and rosemary. Delicious!!!! The crawl should make a pit stop at Blossom it is well worth the detour!

Re: “That Summer Book Sale

I'm a total bookworm, too. I admit, I do have many unread books. Problem is I have so many good ones to choose from, and I always find myself asking, what do I read next, whilst having to choose from at least 3-4 different picks. But, I read constantly...I don't read 1 book a month, I read a handful.

Re: “Fridays on the Point w/ Shawn Mullins, Chris McCarty Band, Simplified

Shawn Mullins has managed to reinvent himself over the last few years in a way that most musicians only dream of. He is an essential artist for this decade, not only for us here at 1055 the Bridge, (Radio Station) but for Southerners at-large.
If you missed him in the beautiful setting of the 2009 First Flush Festival, here is another opportunity to enjoy him in yet another of Charleston's amazing outdoor settings.
1055 The Bridge along with our great partners Ear For Music and The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina encourage you to come out Friday evening, June 17 from 5:30 -9:30 to see what we know will be an incredible show. Tickets are $10 at the gate, and we ask you to consider bringing a few dollars for the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston to help us wrap our week-long Radio-thon.

Re: “Boondoggle

Boondoggle was awesome. The band played the crowd from the opening number. Plane Jane, watch out! And where did the lead singer learn to sing the blues like that?

And remember, I'm "On The Mark " for a reason!

Re: “Spoleto Soleil

This is a must see event, the artists on Broad street are simple the best you will see, if you have ever gone to an art walk you know the talent. It is the last few days of the Outdoor Expo in Marion square so you know the artists will have their best pieces on show for both events and at the best prices! If you haven't seen Kellie Jacobs wonderful pastel and oil landscapes you are simply doing yourself a disservice. God, I must tell you they are spectacular and for her talent very affordable, go see her at Marion Square on Calhoun Street and at 7 Broad Street, Hamlet Fine Art Gallery all year.

Re: “Marti Healy

I can't wait to do the booksigning at The Blue Bicycle for my latest novel, "The Secret Child." This place has such a great reputation in the field -- it's a privilege to be one of their signing authors. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. - Marti Healy, Author
