Laughable. Arrest the guy trying to help and send the guy home who needs it.
For the past few years I have had difficulty working out in yard, then in 2015 it got harder and harder to breathe. After many tests, it was a CT scan that showed COPD, emphysema and scarring in my lungs. I quit smoking 8 years ago but the damage has been done. I got to a point I couldn't catch my breath and was coughing so hard I thought the top of my head would blow off, nothing was really working to help my condition. Finally i started on COPD herbal formula i purchased from NewLife Herbal Clinic, i read alot of positive reviews from other patients who used the COPD herbal treatment. I used the herbal remedy for 7 weeks, its effects on COPD is amazing, all my symptoms gradually faded away, i breath very more freely now! (Visit www. newlifeherbalclinic. com ) I recommend this COPD herbal formula for all COPD/Emphysema sufferers

Well, when I first moved here from Manhattan, I kind of freaked when I saw those poor horses in this heat. In Manhattan, the horses by Central Park are ordered to be taken off the streets when in hits 90! And the sun is not as strong up there as it is down here. I did take a few rides here and spoke with the carriage riders and asked about how they treated the horses because I was very concerned about them. They were kind enough to explain how they rotated them and brought me to the stables and showed me how they cooled them off on a continuous basis. They get sprayed with cool water after each trip. The horses are worked for only 3 weeks at a time and then sent back up to a farm and hv 3 weeks off. However, I am glad they decided to do this new practice. Everyone had told me I would get used to the heat here. Sorry, I hv been here 9 years, and I still cannot deal with the heat here. I stay inside during the summer. It is the humidity that is the killer.
Kathleen Wilson said she wasn't ready to take a position on whether a development moratorium was the right move.
Recall her or vote her out !
They have theirs and are not worried about anyone else. They have the money to travel wherever they need and see whatever specialists they need to treat themselves, but to hell with those that depend on others for the same treatment. I am utterly disgusted with trump's lack of caring, among other things, of course. What these 'greedy old people' don't get is that this research may cure them one day by some, otherwise untested and un-researched, treatment for their conditions - morbid or otherwise. Their own lives are in the balance but they don't think beyond the end of their noses or bank accounts.
The paaaage of this cynical, cruel ordinance gives Charleston the dubious honor of enacting the HARSHEST temperature ordinance in the nation. The temperature gauge is located FOUR stories atop a hotel. Not where the horses work. No other City in the US requires FOUR readings.
As for the cost of the Ad, part of the Animal Society's mission is to speak out for animals when they see abuse. Surely the Counciman understands that. And while we are at it, ask the Councilman how much the City pays the Animal Society to accept stray animals off the streets of Charleston? Maybe there needs to be a course for Councilmen on City obligations met and unmet before remarks are hurled at public meetings.
To the "all those people hollering" guy: No one can address every animal situation in the world. It takes money, time and volunteers. I am a volunteer for animals at Charleston Animal Society. You can help, too, by volunteering. And you can, as an individual, make a formal complaint when you see animal neglect or abuse. It will definitely be addressed. "Saving one animal won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal." Do what you can to make a difference.
All these people hollering about what's best for the carriage horses just cracks me up! Why don't they holler about the fancy-pants show horses out at the big horse show on Seabrook Island every summer? Those horses come from all over & spend their days sweating bullets while they jump over huge fences at breakneck paces.
Let's not forget the cute little ponies being shown off by their cute little riders. The ponies are also sweating up a storm, as are the kids.
Now THERE'S a bunch of critters we should be looking into!
Oh reeeeaaalllyy? Too little, too late. The Charleston Planning Commission is waaaay late to the party.
so why do city cops shill for Uber instead of a cab company?
Legalize recreational use. Far less dangerous than alcohol, which IS the deadliest drug known to mankind and IS the "gateway" drug to more dangerous chemical (man-made, not natural) based drugs and prescription drugs, all of which can lead to overdoses, including alcohol. Marijuana, by comparison, has no overdose threshold, leaves the user cognizant, if not a little over-elated, but in control of their faculties. TV really is not representative of it's true affects as they just want to satisfy a viewing audience. It is a vaso-diolater reducing blood pressure while lessening work for the heart. It is a happy substance and the only anger and violence that is a result of marijuana is the "so-called" drug war - the illegality of it. Marijuana was made illegal and into a schedule 1 drug back in the 60s so the "prudes" could control, through legal intimidation; the "liberal hippies" and the "brothers and sisters", and had nothing whatsoever to do with danger of its use. Instead the use was a danger to controlling the masses, which is how our political system works - all about power and control and not about what is BEST for our citizens.
He is a genius...
Sadly the schools we attended and the behavior of the kids in the schools has greatly deteriorated since we were there Mr. Green.
Today, school administrators stand to be sued if they don't take action if one student bullies another. Of course, this isn't an issue with parents who actually parent their children and not make excuses for their kid's actions.
Trial lawyers have made a fortune by suing school districts for either enforcing the rules or not enforcing the rules.
Will he be signing with the Philadelphia Eagles at the completion of his sentence?
I guess Mr. Woods doesn't even bother to read his own hometown paper regarding this environmental disaster:
"Clean-up crews are racing to clear acres of debris at the largest Dakota Access protest camp before the spring thaw turns the snowy, trash-covered plains into an environmental disaster area. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Friday that the camp, located on federal land, would be closed Feb. 22 in order to prevent injuries and significant environmental damage in the likely event of flooding in this area at the mouth of the Cannonball River in North Dakota.
Without proper remediation, debris, trash, and untreated waste will wash into the Cannonball River and Lake Oahe, the Corps said in its statement. Those involved in the clean-up effort, led by the Standing Rock Sioux, say it could take weeks for private sanitation companies and volunteers to clear the expanse of abandoned tents, teepees, sleeping bags, blankets, canned food, supplies and just plain garbage littering the Oceti Sakowin camp.
Its unfortunate. Again, that just goes against what theyre fighting against, is leaving that stuff and abandoning it and obviously the environment the river, Scott Davis, North Dakota Commissioner for Indian Affairs, told KFYR-TV in Bismarck."

Texas retained it's right to sovereignty, which is why it is the only state flag that can be flown at the same height as the US flag.
And the Corwin Amendment was passed by the 36th Congress and ratified by 6 states, not enough to make it law. However, it STILL sits on the books and can be ratified if states choose. Case in point, MD just rescinded it's ratification in 2014. Texas also reconsidered ratification in 1963.
So...Congress needs to remove it from ever possibly being ratified. Think about that.
Thank you for trying to educate and inform people with some facts and truth and while it is true that SC cited the failure of the federal government to enforce the fugitive slave act in its secession document, North Carolina, Virginia and the Cherokee nation did not. The causes of secession and the war are numerous and complex and not as simple as people are told to believe they are and that the ludicrous and ignorant comparisons to the Confederacy and the Nazis and the swastika to the battle Flag are little more than thinly veiled efforts to make anyone tht feels pride, honour or in fact anything positive about the Confederacy automatically as a Nazi, racist and something to be ashamed off.
Ron liberate, some of us do.
