six million dollar man
Rebuilding you was obviously a waste of taxpayers money.
Bush Bush Bush Bush....geezzzzzz
Umm... he has been retired to Texas for over 6 years, lets deal with what we can.
Hi JobyD2000. Often restaurants don't have an exact opening date until a day (or even hours) before unlocking the door. Such is the permitting and inspection situation in this city. Of course, once we have a firm date we will share that information with readers.
I went 3 times this week. Phenomenal. The chef even made a pepper vinegar for my collards after the first visit. I had it on the following 2 visits as well.
Welcome to corporate America KJ. If you want a real hip hop club go to NY, LA, Philly, DC, Atlanta...or just about every city listed in Award Tour.
Charleston is too small and filled with mostly college kids who don't know or care about anything but Top 40. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of people who care about good music; just not true underground.
"yet another lie and waste of our money"
I suggest you look into the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan under President Bush, sir.
If it's opening "any day now," shouldn't they have a more firm opening date for City Paper than "any day now?" I'm looking forward to checking it out but I'd like to know when I can.
Hahaha Jake!!!! HFPJ is right. I pass by on my bike all the time and used to stop in and get a snack or breakfast but now I will just be passing by.
Sweeney's is really good!! Love this chef, too! The menu is creative and tasty, friendly staff. I will go again.
Truth1 , so negative
Would you suggest holding tight at 2 chefs and remaining "awful"? Stupid fucking comment. Sounds like they're on the right track, or at least trying.
Just to clarify, I don't mean to say we should unfairly tax the rich. Just close the loopholes that allow them to pay less percentage of their income than we do. Or better yet, match our loopholes to their's giving us more spending power (disposable income) to drive the economy since it IS the middle-class that does so.
Those of us who cannot stand whiskey are sad that no Blackbeerd was saved this year from the nasty influence...
Another one to add to the list: S233 is the latest bad idea coming out of the capital. Now legislators want to tax us for using cell phones, take all those revenues and kick them over to Big Telecom to subsidize land lines. Why the reps would want to support a dying technology with higher taxes is beyond me...
Judging by an interview just aired on a popular TV news outlet, the repug leadership continues to push the idea that the way to help the middle-class is to cut corporate taxes and taxes on the wealthy so more jobs can be created.
1. Jobs are ONLY created when a business person NEEDS help and not when they get tax breaks. That just makes the business person richer.
2. If the corporate tax rate is reduced, that equals less tax dollars in the system. Ergo, the shortfall must be made up by someone. Since the corporate and wealthy are paying less and the poor have nothing to contribute, who is left to make it up? The MIDDLE-CLASS, that's who!
3. This is an obvious stance by the repug leadership to keep their wealthy and corporate donors happy and the unwitting constituents in the dark by telling them that this is the way to go. All the while, the less-informed middle-class citizens are still trying to figure out why they cannot pay their bills.
Signing a child up for "Glee" class should bring about a visit from DSS.
You missed to point. All of the things you didn't like (being distant emotionally, not interacting with his wife and kids in a way that makes people happy and warm inside) is what makes the movie good and realistic. War takes its toll on people.
@leemajors He was war harden not a Psychopath. Psychopaths have a lack of empathy (He hesitates before shooting a child, that's empathy).
Psychopathy starts during Late childhood, adolescences and the Teen-Age Years. Not randomly happen later in adulthood.
Just can't wait to hear the state of the union address this time around.
Maybe in tonight's state of the union, we can hear all about the fantastic high speed rail the president promised in an earlier state of the union..
oh wait ooops...
"Despite the administration spending nearly $11 BILLION .. since 2009 to develop faster passenger trains, the projects have gone mostly nowhere and the United States still lags far behind Europe and China.
“Within 25 years, our goal is to give 80 percent of Americans access to high-speed rail,” Mr. Obama said in his 2011 State of the Union address. “This could allow you to go places in half the time it takes to travel by car. For some trips, it will be faster than flying — without the pat-down.”
But as Mr. Obama’s second term nears an end, some experts say the president’s words were a fantasy."
yeah fantasy... or yet another lie and waste of our money.
