Re: “Of course Donald Trump made a joke about women on stage today at Boeing

Another smear article. Yellow journalism strikes yet again!

Re: “President Trump: Those Boeing airplanes are made in North Charleston

Is this a joke? It's perfectly normal for someone from outside of an area to refer to the name of an entire metro area.

Re: “President Trump: Those Boeing airplanes are made in North Charleston

Kinda like when people from 'up north' refer to "The Carolinas" instead of North Carolina and South Carolina. Irritating, but not really a big deal. Move on now....

Perhaps you should ban advertisers that aren't technically in Charleston City in your Charleston City paper....

Re: “President Trump: Those Boeing airplanes are made in North Charleston

He could be referring to Charleston COUNTY in which both Charleston and North Charleston are located in. While he more than likely wasn't talking about the county, and while he is an idiot, stop trying to find things to nitpick...

Perhaps you should complain to CHARLESTON AIRPORT that it's also in North Charleston. *sigh*

Excellent, the secret service and fbi will be able to photograph the subversives for their files for use at a later date and time.

Lol. A bunch of whiney protesters. Do something productive instead of wasting everyone's time. All your protests do is make you look stupid.. Why do you want to see Trumps tax returns? What would it change? Nothing. We are all watching you.

Re: “The Agenda: Sanford and Paul taking lead on Obamacare replacement; Proposal for free tech school in S.C.

Interesting. NYT and AP both put a negative in their headlines (reject/ anti-unionization) NPR has an UNBIASED approach to headlines. Maybe we should reject all mainstream entertainment media and get our news from NPR. Maybe the loss of viewership will reduce the "click-bait" headlines and ensure accurate and unbiased reporting. But "click-bait" headlines get the clicks, so to speak, thus the dollars. Money first. Facts, meh. Money FIRST, SECOND and LAST! NPR doesn't have to bow to advertisers so that eliminates the need to play favorites with politics for the viewership ratings.

Re: “Boeing South Carolina workers vote against unionizing

I just wanted them to vote yes so the uninvolved public wouldn't be harassed with the irritating onslaught of smarmy pro/ con ads for yet another year. Rinse, spit, repeat.

Re: “Boeing South Carolina workers vote against unionizing

I'm so glad the vote went the way it did. Unions have devolved into thuggery and South Carolina is a shining example of how well things can work without them.

Re: “After 37 years, Norm's has closed making way for Smith Street Pizza

I went into Norm's after I got off work at Roper hospital on their last night. They told me they were closing for renovations that they do every decade. Sounds like part of the process of selling the place was a hush, hush policy. I feel lucky to have eaten there one last time. Thank you to the family for the last seven years that I was able to pull through for good food and conversation. I hope ya'll finally get to do what you have wanted to do for a very long time. Peace be with you.

What a bunch of "losers", living in the past in a distorted version of the past, "Secessionist", those that celebrate treason by wanting to withdraw the from the US.

Cold-blooded, warm-blooded, fur, feathers, fins, scales, shells, skin & insects, whatever, all non-human animals respond/react to pleasure & pain the same as the human animal. Aside from the diversity of life, we are all one on this planet.

Re: “Why don't we call white extremists terrorists?

Atrocities by whites are on the furthest end of a continuum which begins at its least violent with racism in textbooks, continues with the systematic racism of discrimination in employment (including employment compensation, "minimum wage jobs," in other words), through racism in arbitrary stops and arrests by police, higher incarceration rates of minorities, and on to the use of violent police tactics on protesters, and finally the brutality of the Klan and other racists. The latter is part of a SYSTEMATIC form of racist brutality which has been going on since the first African was brought in chains to these shores.
This continuum is subtle in that there is not hiatus between one form of racism and the next, so that in effect, it is hard to say where terrorism really begins, if by "terrorism" you mean the commonly accepted definition of the use of fear to achieve political ends. In practice, though, ALL of these forms reinforce each other, and so focussing a single incident and labeling it terrorism is difficult to do. Especially if your myopia makes it impossible to focus.

Re: “Froufrou white party Dîner en Blanc returns to Charleston

Tres prtentieux, trs idiote! They blocked off Lincoln Center in NYC one year when I had a appointment there in 2012. Boy oh boy, was I royally pissed off. They do this in Madrid too when I am there. Can y'all say paintball rampage? Now that would be great performance ART. Who judges if the food in your picnic basket is comprised of "fine food". What would happen if you pulled out paper plates, fried bologna sandwiches, palmetto cheese with Ritz crackers and moon pies (Chucktown fine dining)? Would you be asked to leave? Would your neighboring diners blow the whistle and point you out? If this benefited a charity like the White Tie & Tiara Ball then Bravo, but it doesn't. Sorry Natty I love ya and I hope you are going to get paid well (deservedly so), but this event is just too white and too silly even for me.
