@FairGayme sorry to disappoint you but no line cooking for me anymore. I wish I could be back on the line with no worries. I did my time on the line and I liked it. I worked the line at the Supper Club underneath Tony Bourdain so whats not to like about it? My family are investors in several restaurants here in the states and 2 more in Barcelona and 1 in Madrid, Spain and France as well as the largest shareholders of a pretty well known cookware company. I oversee investments and manage money all day, errday. In other words, I am a professional slacker and have achieved my lifelong goal of being really good at it. I get to travel to Europe 4-5 times a year as well as NYC and LA constantly. FYI, I went to the French Culinary Institute (ICC now) in NYC and many of our newer and most successful investments to date are with graduates from there. My kid is at the CIA. We also have homes here and in Spain, not too bad for a old line cook. So respect the line you troll or we will spit in your food!!!!!
Jim Makeever - you are prob right about the senator part, the travel allowance would be MUCH better for him. Those $1,265 haircuts, ya know doe.
My friends and I are thinking that Whitney may actually not be straight and that is his big uncomfortable secret that he is struggling with about not yet coming out.
He is using a "hookup" with Catherine as a cover story when it isn't true. Maybe she was in his kitchen interviewing for the assistant job at 9am.
It seems quite circumspect.
Shep asked Whitney if he was a bottom, not did he want the bottom bunk. Hmmmm.
Family Values: yeah Sanford
and Mcallister in LA show how moral and ethical the Republican Party is all the time.
If Republicans want to just be the Party of the South for a few more decades, if that ( given the long range demo changes )keep being the Sex Police Party.
And become more and more irrelevant.
But Vincent Sheheen made such a strong statement denouncing the censorship and bigotry and affirming his committment and the SC Dem partys to full equality for LGBT SC residents.
nary a peep.
With a few exceptions on the local level, LGBT SC dems are so the embarrassing cousin kept locked in the basement except when it's $$$ time.
BTW,Pride festival will be in Brittlebank again this yr.
Would be nice if charleston city council members who have received lgbt support during campaigns appeared this time.
Charleston may be the most " progressive" city in SC, but that's an awful low standard and we are not even worthy of that if pol "friend and foe" alike can't get over "it. "
" It" for the former being political homophobia based on fear and the latter being ignorant bigotry.
Usually, it's us icky gay guys who get the grief.
Since our sexist society still sees women overall as weaker and nonthreatening. And two girls getting it on can be "hot".
Now they are recruiting too.
Damn, going to have to redouble my efforts to meet our monthly quota.
Can't let the girls show us up at the annual Gay/Lesbian Recruit Showcase!!!
New Gay Today? ohai!
Come on down and Sashay!
@CiaCookingKid--wow, lil time on ur hands huh? I guess line cooks don't start their day till bout 3pm, so u had some time to kill.
Pot calling kettle black....lesbian is the new black.
Whoa. The missed punctuation by these new "writers" is mind boggling! Just keeps getting worse and worse. #ImissBarnaAlready
Hey kid you do understand that you sound like spoiled milk right? A few more years and Mark will be the state senator. Wimp on kiddy.
Could it be that even many of the progressive democrats in this state have moral, ethical family values. Maybe the small percentage of liberal thinkers that support this type of so-called art and literature just don't get the fact that the "tail doesn't always wag the dog".
stephmcdonald, intolerand is when you don't get your way and what I hear and read is an uprising by those that aren't getting there way. Here is something for you to ponder regarding liberal thinking:
"A growing disregard for traditional values, morals and ethical behavior. All aided and abetted by that modern day destroyer of thinking and standards, political correctness. This is all about a well thought out movement spearheaded by academia and progressive politicians to undermine the very cultural underpinnings that hold society together. This is all about the self-loathing apparent in those who have no moral underpinnings or standards. It's the "me generation", if it feels good do it crowd, who can find no real satisfaction. Tear down everyone else and destroy all they believe in. To what end? I daresay they cannot give a meaningful answer that does not involve circular reasoning and ad hominem attacks."
Dp4, nah I am not a liberal, just someone who lives in the 21st century and not the 1960s, like most of the Homer Simpsons who populate most of our political landscape do.....Doh
Mr. Pimp, But of course, SC politics at its finest. Marky says “So it boils down to something simple, there is not a part of the world I love more than the coast of South Carolina and I am running for reelection to continue the work we have begun in representing its taxpayers in Washington and at home.” Did you know that Mark is especially enamored with "hiking" the Appalachian Trail here in SC?
Not to worry Mr. Pimp, in 2013 Marky received the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the Chamber of Commerce for his pro-business voting record, scoring 100% on the American Conservative Union scorecard, being ranked by FreedomWorks as the most conservative member of the South Carolina congressional delegation in 2013 and being called a “cast-iron conservative” by the Washington Post. He surely is one enterprising cast iron hiker, as his friend in Argentina can tell you.
David Powell, traditional values? What exactly does that mean? Intolerance? Bigotry? Hate speech? God doesn't care how many bible verses you can memorize. He cares how you treat people.
Isn't Sanford running unopposed?
Obviously the candidate shoots first and reads later -- or not at all.
"Superintendent candidate thinks"
Could've fooled me.
Also I would like to formally coin the hash tag #facepalmetto
Different day, same old story. Those that seek to ban or burn books (or in this case plays) continue their flawless record of doing so without ever having read a single one of them. Would it be an overstatement that this play was judged not by even its cover but merely its title?
To say that this embarrasses me completely for this state isn't fair, because it is so routine.
Will Smith STOLE a bike??
