Where can one find the most sand dollars? I want to preserve nature and do not want to take the live ones. Which beach would be best for us?
I'd like to know where one may find the most Sandollars? I do not want to take the live ones, only the dead ones. I appreciate your assistance!
Metal detecting is a good hobby i think
That's how I started too! When I was 24 I bought a used powerboat for $1000 to live on. Sold it for a sailboat and am learning how to sail too! Living aboard a vessel is economical, and makes you very aware of how peoples daily lives effect the environment! To have this live style makes a person more conscientious and conservative of water and waste, and even what products you use daily. Like, washing dishes. You can't keep the water running and you have to use soap without harmful chemicals that will be rinsed out into the harbor!
Gee, do you ever find anything cool!
Cool! I am next....
Great article. 🙂
I used to live a few doors down and always we would make a late night run to get the BBQ in the crock pot.....I think it was $1 back then, as much as you could fit on the bun. A smile and a wave always greeted you and let you know you were welcome back as you left....
Bert's is the best one time I needed a paddle for my kayak and they let me borrow paddle with no questions asked. Super cool place to get food before surfing.
Bert's is the best!
Bert is my next door neighbor and a very nice person. That is the kind of personality that makes a business successful along with Omar & Julie & all the great people at "BERT'S".
Do you have any older pics. But it was in the late 70's. I wish you could find older pics.
But Luke n- Ollies doesn't allow pets on their porch. UNCOOL
You should really mention something about the rip tides. Believe me when I say that the rip tide will take you away. There are more water missions for ignorant and misinformed people and anything on the Island. Trust me. My family has been there since 1906.
VRBO has all the rental places on SI. Some of the older, non-beachfront ones aren't very expensive.
A trip to the top of the SI lighthouse was a standard outing for SI Elementary students in the early 80's. Great view unmatched from any other local building except the Morris Island lighthouse.
How hipster kool is Folly Beach? Just look at all the plaid and craft beer being peddled to CofC kool kids.
Hubba Hubba!! I'd like to Michael-Sam that cutie pie midget w the tats!!
We are Folly Beach lovers and have been vacationing here for years. This ban will completely detour us and send us elsewhere. That's so sad to say considering we just started looking for a second home their. You can not ban something so significant from the beach without consequences. Put restrictions in place but not a ban. It will hurt businesses overall and Folly Beaches economy.
