Re: “How many witnesses does it take to sentence a confessed murderer?

"It's a hell of a thing, killin' a man. Take away all he's got, and all he's ever gonna have."

If it took weeks of testimony to achieve an outcome to fry this filth, so be it

Geez, hopefully its just as shitty as his other places. The worst, but what can you possibly expect from a floating hotel 6. To quote Pete Wells "When we hear the words Donkey Sauce, which part of the donkey are we supposed to think about?" Ewwwwww. Exactly.

Re: “Dylann Roof shows no remorse in closing statements in capital trial

And what you omitted is that, during his interrogation, He told officers he hoped to be a martyr for his cause. He gets the death penalty, he wins.

Re: “How many witnesses does it take to sentence a confessed murderer?

Gee, Dwayne, I would have thought that as an attorney you would have known the answer, which is, "as many as we can get." The prosecutor's job in this phase is to make sure he gets the verdict he wants. If just one juror says "no" to the death sentence, it's life in prison, so the prosecutor's method is to heap on such an over-abundance of testimony that no juror could conceivably vote that "no. And you, Dwayne, as a criminal defense attorney know that.
Also, "the definition of overkill", were you really that clever to think that up by yourself?

...and when I'm elected...

Re: “How many witnesses does it take to sentence a confessed murderer?

If it were a paid by the hour attorney, I would understand why they lead a parade of witness to the stand. The prosecutor is milking his 5 minutes in the sun because this is likely the most famous case of his career.

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

I'll have to agree with this article completely. Dylan Roof, no doubt has been miseducated, as well as under educated, but it doesn't excuse his actions. Information is like a two edge sword, and we now have an abundance of it. Some information is good and some is not. Each and everyone of us have to selectively learn to choose, from our sorce of information wisely.

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

We need to make it perfectly clear that he don't regret what he did and we don't regret his punishment. If someone stands before the court and states he has no regrets for what he did to those people who showed him nothing but kindness and acceptance then he should not be granted any appeals and he should be put to death immediately.

Re: “Fake news and the miseducation of Dylann Roof

And this is precisely what has happened and continues to happen on the political front where fake news has brainwashed legions of people into thinking the Clinton's were corrupt, the Clinton Foundation was corrupt and trump is the second-coming of christ-almighty. Apparently the lack of common sense and logical thinking are used by the GOP to take advantage of those that don't want to try different channels to see that there ARE discrepancies and how logic (does it make sense) and independent reasoning plays a part in separating the discrepancies from the consistencies so they can figure out which channels are fake-based and which are fact-based.

Re: “Nathalie Dupree and Toni Tipton-Martin talk Top Chef's ode to Edna Lewis, the 'Mammy' stereotype, and celebrating the invisible

I am sadden that many of the chefs of Top Chef have never heard of Edna Lewis. Edna Lewis was a great chef and a classy lady with great food.
Culinary schools should teach the students about her life and her southern food.

How about we put poor Dylann in a rubber room and play impact statements for the rest of his life. Sorry for the inconvenience Dylann.
