G&G does beautiful work. They are an aspirational lifestyle mag.
Not Mother Jones.
The surface looked elitist to me at first too, but underneath the sheen the scope of who they cover is diverse.
"Let's give these folks a chance and I'm happy to pay $5 for a really great taco."
Did you not read the review? They visited multiple times, and the tacos are not great. I How many "chances" does a restaurant deserve? I can understand not letting one bad experience mold your opinion of a place. But when you visit multiple times, and the results are the same, it may be time for the owners to change some things.
Aren't there enough cops in this city? So, Charleston is funding more cops.. Which will screw more people over (like giving tickets for improper lane change or a headlight being out)... Which will lead to more money...more cops... More money.. When does it end? The jails are already over-crowded. The economy has made it hard for the normal person to pay bills yet fines or tickets. Why doesn't Charleston fund more after school programs or addiction centers? Oh.. Because they need the bad guys to bring in money to aid to the cycle. So who's the bad guys again?
Wow, what a concept. If I own something I am a hoarder. Why don't we just do away with choices and free will. As long as you want what someone else has you will always want what someone else has.
Thanks for reading the whole awful thing fairgay. Still in the market for an artisan troll dewormer
So much fun! Going back this weekend with more friends!
Most of these 'vendors' get the palmettos by cutting out the tops of other people's trees on their way downtown...aka STEALING and DAMAGE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY. I have caught a few, and not just kids. I think the officer did his job and did it well, most wouldn't bother. Had the kid acted with respect it could have had a better outcome for him. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way.
"Hell, I pay $9.95 for a piece of fried flounder and two eggs at Page's and happy to do it!"
Great how "libertarians" always know when to come down on the side of law and order.
This is unjust and I've never even been to Scratch. Assuming good people have invested in our town and look for a fair return. Stop it CP, you are not helping anyone. Let's give these folks a chance and I'm happy to pay $5 for a really great taco. Hell, I pay $9.95 for a piece of fried flounder and two eggs at Page's and happy to do it!
Sounds like it was handled properly by the policeman. Did the juvenile in fact have a valid permit at home?
"I'll smoke wherever I want to".
Guess you haven't been fucked real good by the Mabel!!! Don't worry will slam that hate right outta ya chaz
Those guys suck. Nice video.
Alright, I'm tired of beating around the bush. Here's how it is:
1. When people spend money for things, the people who own the means of production and the sales of those things make money.
2. When those people make money, they do two things:
a: they buy things and put the money into savings
b: they take that money and pay the people who produce and sell those things for them a wage.
3. These people who get the wage then go out and buy something else, from somebody else. Then the system repeats itself over and over and over.
Pretty simple, right? Alright, now let's get a little more complicated.
1. Often the people who own the means of production and sales hoard the majority of the money themselves
2. As a result, the balance of the system is disrupted. Their employees have less spending money.
3. The majority of people have less money, so there is less money to spend.
4. People buy less.
5. People sell less.
6. People make less.
7. The economy suffers.
8. People suffer.
Maybe better than raising the minimum wage, maybe we should make a rule that anyone who does business in the US must pay their lowliest worker no more than 40 times less than the CEO.
As far as I see it, problem solved. The US is the biggest (or the second-biggest) consumer in the world. Without our business, the world economy can't function properly.
What does this have to do with raising the minimum wage? As far as I see it, absolutely everything.
Um.....anyone else hate Sybil? I hate her
your 'lower middle class' mindset could never grasp all of the tangibles that go along with growing up poor.
