Re: “Red's Ice House Seabrook

My wife and I went to the beach with our dog. As we left we wondered if Red's was dog friendly. They were more than dog friendly, they gave us a great seat on the deck and brought our big dog a bowl of water. Almost every customer and server stopped by our table to pay him some attention.

The service and food were really good and the staff were super friendly.

We've been back twice since then for the all-you-can-eat crab legs and loved it. The wait during summer was pretty bad (it never crossed my mind that it was tourist season until we got there), during the off-season we never had to wait for a table.

Comparing the Seabrook location to the Mt Pleasant location it's hard to believe it's the same restaurant, the vibe is so different. The Mt Pleasant Red's is much more "rustic" and like a bar that happens to serve seafood. If that's your thing great, I prefer the more open and airy Seabrook location for it's laid back atmosphere. It's mid July as I write this and I can hardly wait for September, when I plan to be back at Red's.

Re: “Thank you for my beautiful life

Alison, I'm sorry I haven't commented before, but I didn't know what to say, too many feelings. I will just say, we will miss you, especially Catherine. It's tragic you had to go through this and having lost parents and lovers and friends, I can say with certainty when your suffering ends, we will continue to suffer, some longer than others. Maybelle will be fine and you will live on longest in her memory. That is what should be most important. For you, it's not the end, as no matter what you believe, it will be the beginning of a new chapter. Love you, Catherine's Mom, Carolyn

Re: “Thank you for my beautiful life

Alison, I appreciate your bravery, love, and faith. You are an inspiration to females, feminists, in particular, and to people in general. I love you. You are living a full life. You are not going quietly into the night. You have left your mark on this Earth. I love you. May the Creator of the Universe surround you with peace and uplift you.

Love,
Debra

Now if we could just get some enforcement of illegal short-term rentals.

Re: “Why we're switching to Facebook-verified member accounts

Waittttttt- El Super Saturn, you are one of my faves. Want me to set up a General FB Acct for you called whatever you want or some other name and errbody can sign in and use the same password and still leave comments? Mat and Jaxx can use it too. One account for all y'all. I think that would be frigging funny as shit. A bunch of comments all different and random all coming from one account. Simply Perfect. Zuckerberg is a dick, that is a fact, but still......I will miss your comments. Let me know and I will set it up immed.

Re: “Zoning decision makes way for more residential units, affordable housing at Sgt. Jasper site

We will see about it, maybe, suggested, an amendment to encourage, possible opportunity for affordable housing, in the eyes of the Beach Company = absolutely fucking NOT. Get that tow truck number and the traffic patrol on speed dial and get ready neighbors. Haul their butts outta there every time they park on your street. Its fun and a great pastime, involve the whole family. Just ask the Boulevard's neighbors over in Mt. P. Ask them how good of a "neighbor" that Beach Project makes and how neighborly Be-ach was. They all hate it. It was a complete nightmare before, during and after with absolutely NO consideration for any of the neighbors. Good Luck with that Beach Co. Bidnezz.

Re: “Why we're switching to Facebook-verified member accounts

I will sign in with FB, as long as I do not have to "friend" or follow any of you there and vice versa. I have enough asshole friends already. Same with google, y'all def can not be in my circle. If I have to have "Friend" or follow you then Bye Felicia. Can we use tinder or snapchat sign in instead? They both seem more city paper apropos.

Re: “Why we're switching to Facebook-verified member accounts

The Super Saturn hates Mark Zuckerberg and refuses to be coerced into making him even more wealthy. Signing off...and will miss the two guys above and their opinions.

Thanks City Paper for providing a wonderful place for free expression for so long. The Super Saturn understands why the change is necessary but TSS will mever supprt Facebook, Twitter, or Google.

A big planetary goodbye to all...

Re: “Thank you for my beautiful life

Since you were little more than a girl, you have had a way of cutting to the chase in such a graceful way, and planting questions in the minds of people that entice them to search for answers. Answers to hard questions. You have contributed
greatly to making the world a better place. Thank you for your MUCHNESS!

Re: “Red's Ice House Seabrook

Our meal was so horrible that I cannot even rate it with 1 star. Meal took 40 minutes to arrive at the table, food was ice cold. Burger arrived 10 minutes later - cooked well done vs med rare as ordered. The lettuce in the grilled tuna salad was rancid and rotting. Manager comped entree portion of the meal - but worse was the attitude - she really did not care. I'm local and posting on every blog I can find.

Re: “Did you spot all the Charleston sights on 'Vice Principals' Ep. 1?

"yep, when you can't think of anything original, cite somebody else"

What sort of original thought do you think I'm going to have about a colloquial contraction? Do I look like a linguist? Or etymologist? Sheesh.

At least I didn't artrogue it and just post a wall of text verbatim from a website without attribution.
